Should be, but won't be as Horford went out of his way to land an elbow to the head. Dwight only swung out of frustration.
Dwight wouldn't be suspended either if he already didn't have flagrants. Totally different situations.
Dwight didn't push Bogut. Bogut initiated that whole altercation with the hard push in the back. Doesn't change the fact Dwight lost his cool and swung his arm back though. It could probably go either way, so it'll depend on if the league views the contact as excessive.
If they upgrade it and Dwight gets suspended for having too many flagrant points is there any way to appeal the dirk flagrant?
Yes he did, he pushed him backwards first, Bogut retaliated, and Dwight swung. Facts are facts, you can watch the video again and see. I have it frozen on my screen and watched it over and over just to be sure. That should be going on now. DD
You are wasting your time with DD. He doesn't understand the concepts of playing basketball and that what Dwight did is common when posting up. Offensive foul with an over reactive ref at best but hardly anything to warrant retaliation by Bogut the way he did.
I searched the rules but I couldn't find if there is a time restriction on appeals. All the appeals I know had happened right after the game when the player got them. Maybe the Rockets arleady appealed and were rejected? Anyone knows? Also does anyone know how many points Dwight has in the playoffs? 2 or 3?
I did not say it was not common Ill - and yes, Bogut pushed, should have been a T on Bogut.....but Howard escalated it too far he has to be smarter than that. Yet, his entire career he has been prone to being able to push over the edge - and that is what is going on here. It is cute that you follow me around and try to fling poo though, come here big guy you needs a hug.... Hey, maybe I should do another DD's Rocket talk and go over the play so I can edumacate you. DD
LOL, let me rephrase. Independent doctors, not League doctors. League doctors have a lot of pressure from the head office to allow Curry to play.
The Rox should try though, I mean why not? If the league escalates and it is based upon points they should review every one to that point. If I was Morey I would be doing that now. DD
so you are advocating to arbitrarily change the rules and introduce new doctors to check on Curry? For the record if it WAS a concussion Curry wouldn't be able to play like he did. Football players who stayed in the field after a concussion like Kramer in the Mundial final were unable to coordinate their moves and their thoughts to be as productive as Curry did. They were confused on their wereabouts and said nonsense.
The league sends an official letter warning the player the GM and the coach a that he is in the danger zone after the first two points. Maybe after the official letter is sent no appeals can be made. BTW I doubt Morrey wouldn't have appealed that when it happened. It was Dwight he knew he was high risk of commiting more flagrant fouls. It would be incredibly stupid if they already hadn't appealed. How many points does Dwight have? 2 or 3?
The people that jump on Dwight and question his mental toughness irk me. He's out there playing basketball, meanwhile his opposition has to resort to agitating him via non-basketball plays and antics. He's getting fouled every single trip down the floor but he NEVER flails his arms like a b****. He NEVER flops like a b****. He NEVER pulls any of the crybaby bull**** the rest of the NBA has resorted to. So he doesn't get calls. He barely touches someone (like the flagrant on Dirk) and all hell breaks loose? The refs need to learn to make the right calls. Retaliation to antics like what Bogut pulled should be 100% acceptable in sports. It used to be. There's no legitimate reason for it not to be now. This is on the refs and the instigators. If they aren't going to call it let the victim get a shot in so the instigator will back off. If you aren't going to do your job let the victim dish out some justice. Dwight seems reserved to me. I'd swing.
I agree, but here have been moments where Dwight lets non-calls frustrate him to the point where he's taken out of the game and plays bad and costs us points. I'd swing too, since the referees are doing nothing and I don't fault Dwight at all, but something can be said for allowing players to get under your skin.
