If that's the case both players should have been assessed flagrant. Bogut intentionally pushed him and the back then grab him. I don't care about that, they need to stop these players from beat up and throwing cheap shots at this man period. Then you wouldn't see this excessive unnecessary violence.
By the definition of the flagrant foul two. There is some confussion here. Not every flagrant is a jr flagrant. The jr was so excessive that it gave him multiple games suspension. This one normally would NOT give Howard suspension and it's only because of his previous flagrants that he may get one. It doesn't go : flagrant two => automatic suspension.
That's right. Bogut should get a flagrant one. Howards was a flagrant two. That's why I do not share the confidence here and I'm very anxious on Silver's decision. I still have a tiny bit hope he manages to escapes punishment even though by the rules it's unfair that he does.
I mean, he could get suspended for Game 5. He did make contact with the face and it was intentional and there was follow-through meaning it was done with force. But it's really ridiculous that they would do that and not also give Bogut a penalty for his part in clearly instigating.
rules are just rules. they're on paper. in reality they are interpreted and executed by humans. if silver has any sense left in his brain, he'd not hand out a suspension. i am not too worried, but wont be surprised if they indeed hand out one, tho.
Probably Bogut will be fined and Dwight Howard will be suspended a game. Erratic flailing of elbows needs to be strongly discouraged.
If Howard is suspended Bogut will have a punishment as well. But it won't be a flagrant two. Most probably a lets say 15k? fine and a flagrant one. He has been a dirty player all his carreer nothing new. I expected something like this would happen sooner or later and even talked about it before the series started. Bogut has a talent on sneakily elbowing opponents and get them to foul by retaliating. And now Delly has picked up his mantle. Adams as well. Maybe it's because they grow up playing Aussie football I don't know. In my opinion Bogut is one of the dirtiest players in the NBA along with Dunleavy. Good thing both are around retirement age with a ton of mileage on their bodies.
old joey's temper has obviously changed. i was more worried while the foul happened. it couldve been an ejection by joey on the spot in the past.
They really should go back and hand out techs for all the moving screens and holding violations as well as Bogut pushing and holding Dwight too. I'm not condoning Dwight's action, but I understand.
I bet JR Smith told same exact thing  What Bogut did was a regular foul, it's not even close to be flagrant, Howard at the other hand just hit him in the head and you can say it was not intentional, but it was, he lost his mind for a second and hit him. Worst part of this is that Al Horford got ejected (flagrant2) for less just one day before and a lot of fans and media brings it up. That would probably lead to suspension.
My position is correct. I love the Rox but not going to reimagine or invent things just to suite the narrative. 1 Dwight pushed first. 2. Bogut two hand pushed 3. Dwight swung his arm and hit him in the head Even Steve Javi thought it was a flagrant two. I am happy it wasn't called one and hope the NBA will just move forward. Though I would not be surprised either way. DD
