Anyone have a scoop on Xavier Henry? With Delfino possibly leaving after this season, I wouldn't mind picking up Henry to back up Harden. I'm not sure how much NO wants to keep him, but perhaps Morey can buy low and he can become a solid back up for us, maybe play a courtney lee type of role for us.
Ive wanted to like Xavier the past couple years, but the guy has just not been that aggressive scorer that people thought he could be. He's got some talent and I wouldn't mind taking a flyer on him, but my thoughts are that Morey most likely moves some of the guys like Aldrich, Cook, etc. and maybe signs someone like Kyle Fogg from the D-League as a training camp invite next season. Much like the Dalembert contract, the Delfino contract most likely warrants him being traded so a team can take advantage of having the team option at their disposal if they need to shed salary this Summer. Maybe you can get a young guard like Tony Wroten from a team like Memphis in exchange for Delfino.
I am hoping they let either Motiejunas or Jones go back to the D-league so they can get playing time. I'm not their in practice but I can't see them playing the same guys there and then sitting on the bench as being better experience then playing different types of players in D-league games. We need these guys to grow into their potential, let them do so.
