I hope they do it. Peyton has been my favorite player since he was in college, and I'd love to see it happen to a team with classy guys like Harrison and Dungy. Plus those old Miami guys just annoy me.
I want the Colts to go 16-0 so we never have to hear from these random '72 Dolphins players that keep popping up on Sportscenter and such. If there's a team that can beat them, it's the Chargers, even though the game's at home. The Chargers have the one offense that can keep up with the Colts, IMO.
Nope. I just don't think they are that good. They got lucky (3 times) to win at home on Sunday. They gave up like 500 yards in offense to the Giants. I think the Colts will have a field day with them. I think the Bears might be the best team in the NFC, and they've got no offense! I think the Colts, Broncos, Chargers, and maybe Cinci are all better than any NFC team, although the Bears can win any game simply by shutting their opponent out and scoring on a turnover or something.
The only way I see that they do not go undefeated is after 14-0 or 15-0 they pull all the starters for last game or two, that would be a shame. If I was Dungy, I would want the team to go 16-0!
they definitely showed me a lot last night. I don't like them either, I liked the Colts when they had harbaugh and stopped after they traded Faulk. I still remember Faulk's first game against the Oilers. that was the beginning of the end for the Oilers.
i'm weird. I'd like the colts to lose just so i can see the champaigne celebration. it's sort of like, "wow, they're so pathetic it's funny" type of thing.
I would like to see them go undefeated but they have three tough matchups left I believe. Seattle, San Diego, and Jacksonville.
I hope not. For a team that hasn't won anything, they always seemed to think they're hotshots coming into the playoffs until they were summarily wacked by the Pats. Plus, Peyton Manning just isn't that likeable. That's not the only reason I dislike them, but it's definitely one of the more important issues I have with them.
I saw that - what was that in reference to? Both of those plays were really close and they were both reviewed and there was no evidence to overturn. Did the NFL find evidence or were the rules interpreted wrong? The Shockey one I thought was definitely questionable. The Toomer call I thought was right, though. But they got unlucky twice and lucky three times mean a net 1 luckiness, so they needed luck to win. But seriously - the three FG misses would have all ended the game right there. The others were just random plays. If they were incomplete, NY would still have had the ball and be driving, so it's hard to say what would have happened.
I think they just thought that they shouldn't have been TDs in the first place. I think they're half-right. No way that Shockey one should've been a TD (I bet you disagree ), but the Toomer one was a great catch. Very true. However, it's not like they were playing a crappy team. I think Seattle is the best team in the NFC if for Shaun Alexander alone. BTW, where is the Colts/Seahawks game?
It's at Seattle, same place they lucked out against NYG and baby-Manning. I just think if the Colts come into that game 14-0, no way they lose. I think they are just better in every phase of the game. Even running, they don't have quite as many yards, but E. James leads the AFC in rushing too. And while Seattle held the Giants to 20-something points, they did give up 500 yards. You put the Colts offense out there and do that and you're going to get buried. But more than I think Seattle isn't that good, I think that Chargers are that good. They still make some mistakes, but outside of that, their offense is as good as anyone's, and to beat the Colts (unless you're New England), you have to simply outscore them. Cinci almost pulled it off except for some stupid turnovers.
But does that mean they found conclusive evidence that those weren't TDs? I guess that's what I'm wondering. If it was just questionable, it seems like wouldn't have said "we got it wrong" because they might have gotten it right. I'm wondering what they saw (especially in the case of Toomer) that they decided they were definitely wrong.
It'll be interesting to see if the crowd anywhere near as successful against the Colts as they were agianst the Giants. That was unreal. If they're 14-0, they'll probably not play their starters all that long anyway. Of course, they better not bench Wayne until he catches at least 1 TD since that'll be our championship game.
I have no idea about Toomer. I thought that was a great catch and call. I think the only reason the Shockley one was not overturned was because of the camera angles. There's no way that should've been a TD.
That would be interesting. But everything I've heard is if they are that close, they all want to make history. And with a team like that's a precision offense, you don't want to take too much time off (and they have the bye week already) - you need to stay sharp. That's one reason I think a month before bowl games sucks and adds a huge wildcard factor into all those games.
But if there's no way it should have been a TD, you must have seen a camera angle to make you so sure, right? In which case it could have been overturned in instant replay.
