I say so because he's not ready for the 1 yet, plays like a 2, but is too short for the spot. He brings athleticism and the occasional 3.

    The defense aspect... Cutino Francis?

You want a rookie to do a man's job at the 4. The 4 won't even be the focal point of our offense. We have Yao clogging the box, and the Rockets most likely want a skilled guy who will know when to pass. They don't want another Kenny Thomas who can doing well on another team. Rebounding and defense is one trade away.

Yea but Head's ego and desire to score is much less than Francis'. He's a defense-first player. Now who's to say somewhere down the line he won't start jacking up shots or waiving off people like James or Francis, but i think JVG will teach him his role on this team early and there wont be a problem.

From everything I've read and heard Luther Head is a quality player. The one thing I have come to realize with JVG is that he looks at things that most people do not look at in players. Things like turnovers per minutes played, quickness to make decisions and were the decisions good ones, basketball IQ etc. If my memory serves me I seem to recall that LH was one of the only guys not to quit in the championship game even when it seemed that it was a futile effort. I for one trust CD and JVG and feel pretty good about this pick. These guys have put the players through workouts, watched game film and whatever else they do to evaluate. There must be some good reasons that teams passed on the PF who were available at up to #24. Don't let your emotions get in the way of clear thinking.
