Will Cain says Rockets NEED to add Kevin Love as their third option, I think this is perfect. What do you all think? SOURCE:
I don't like it overall so i'd say no. But, realistically, if we strike out on better players and there's no way for us to get a young guy with potential (which i would take over Love anyday), i'd probably give up and say yes, but only if the trade is ok for us, which means: - we don't have to give up Capela and Gordon/Tucker - we get back something else for giving them Capela - we can replace Capela with a decent enough center in free agency
It's a no for me on Love, but just as an interesting note, Tristan Thompson is secretly extremely good at switching onto the perimeter against anyone but Curry (which is the case for every C in the NBA anyway).
There's a big overlay here, as he's been hidden by the LBJ era, and last year's injury. KLove has still got it. He can bust it from downtown, rebounds like a madman, has the inside game, and is a great passer.
I can see all scenarios because of the window the team is in. Capella and Gordon makes 28m combined Vs Love at 24. If the team feels like the can't live without the cheap alley oop play to Capella, Javele can do the same thing cheaper. If the team feels Gordon and his offense is vital, Love is a better more versitile scorer and passer. Not to mention, they can probably resign Rivers who can be a combo guard.
