Only if he can get out off the Clippers.

He needs a team with a better coach and an owner that doesn't handle their GM with his cheapness.

Griffin relies too much on athleticism like Amare does. If he can stay healthy, he should be OK. However, its easy to get injured when fly so much.

if he can develop a 15 foot game (and stay healthy obviously), he'll be the best pf in the history of the nba, that's very much an if though.

Better than Duncan, who won a championship in his 2nd year, and has 4 rings total? Is he playing on both sides of the floor? Duncan averaged 2.5 blocks in his rookie season to go with his offensive numbers. Duncan is a defensive presence. Griffin has 0.6 blocks. I haven't seen him play, but can you comment on his interior defense?

Kevin Garnett is better than both Duncan and Griffin, imo.

I don't think he will. All too often, players who depend on athleticism come crashing down early in their careers. Blake has a really fast first step and explosive finish, but whats going to happen when he loses his speed and athleticism. Even if he doesn't get hurt, he won't be able to run past everyone in the league forever. And besides, he plays so hard every night that I'm pretty sure his body won't be able to keep up. :(

Regardless, I'll enjoy watching him play- he's one of the most exciting players in the league in a long time. Ron Artest put it best- "his highlights is stupid"

Garnett didn't crash early in his career. Griffin just needs to add new moves.

I said before his career started that he was a hall of fame player, still believe it.

You can't compare him to Garnett Garnett is longer and was never a great offensive player. Griffin is more like amare and mcdyess.

Well, he already dunks real purrty, but he gotta learn him how ter travel nice and good before he can be the GOAT.

Sorry, thinking about the last decade of ESPN NBA highlights made me lapse into dumbass mode.

This guy has as many highlights as the rest of the nba put together. But i think in order for him to be considered as one of the best of all time, he has to develop a legit offensive arsenal to go along with his aggressiveness in attacking the rim. I'm not sure what his defense looks like but if he could get better at that too it wouldnt hurt him.

He needs to improve his defense A LOT. Also, 50% from the field for a rim-attacking demon is pretty low and his free throw shooting is atrocious. His ballhandling and playmaking also have a long way to go compared to someone like Barkeley. He's going to be a great player, but he's got to make significant strides to be one of the GOAT.

Maybe one of the best dunkers ever.
