i am starting to question the wisdom of the 2015 plan. Howard has an incipient post moves, but his game still relies on his athleticism. moreover as this year showed us talents don't guarantee victory in the playoff, a season is needed for everything to gell.
I don't think he will ask for trade for a couple reasons: 1. He enjoy the players off court. 2 He realize how much the team needed him to succeed during the Portland series. 3. He found out it doesn't matter starting or off the bench.
he was important in portland series, but he wasn't be able to force aldridge to expend any energy on defensive end.
It depends on what the plan is. If it's strictly getting a 3rd star, the Rockets could be in big trouble if they can't sign anyone. If there's a backup plan like using that cap space on 2 or 3 solid role players, that's fine. What I don't want is for Morey to do little-to-nothing this offseason to improve the roster just because he's putting all his eggs in the Kevin Love basket.
I hope his replacement is really really good. Dwight missed 11 games this season. Phoenix won 6 games less than us and missed the playoffs. Without Asik, its a very real possibility we don't even make it into the first round.
