I believe the order will be:
    Tracy McGrady (If Healthy)
Aaron Brooks/Luis Scola (Equal in scoring)
    Trevor Ariza
    Carl Landry
    Shane Battier
    Chase Budinger
    David Andersen
    Pops Mensah-Bonsu
    Kyle Lowry
    Other

ariza will avg at least around 18/game this season b/c he will have so many shots and opportunities. i'm guessing he will get at least 12-15 shots attempts a game..

I'd be surprised if this happens either. I know it's sort of what everybody expects, but I expect to see Brooks (and Scola to a lesser extent) emerge as the primary scorers for the team. I don't think this league is ready for Aaron Brooks ... and from what I can tell, even Rockets fans aren't quite ready for him. I'm saying it right now -- Aaron Brooks looks to me like he can score anytime he wants to. He is going to surprise a lot of people.

I guess no more than 15ppg for Ariza; watching him during the preseason games, he is struggling to create his own shots; he is at his best when he is a spot up shooter

Ariza is outscoring Artest in the preseason. I wonder if he can continue it into the regular season.

Per 36-minute preseason stats, including GS (overall box-score rating) and TS% (scoring efficiency).

     Ron Artest    25.0   3.7   9.5   1.2   4.3   2.9   5.1  1.6 4.5  6.2   5.1  1.9  0.6  1.9  3.3  11.5  10.7  0.491

Ariza will probably average 12 - 15 points a game on the season average.

Probably will. Artest is there for his defense and attitude, scoring would be the last thing he should be asked to do or worry about. He tried to be the Big Man here because McGrady was injured and let him get away with it, but if he started to throw up air balls over in LA instead of passing or feeding one of the better options Kobe would jump down his throat.

Ariza will benefit a lot from having T-Mac around. I can see Ariza averaging 18 easy. Brooks probably 14-15 Scola the same. Basically this team is going to surprise fools. You can count on that.
Size in the post is really are most glaring weakness. Like I keep saying we have too much heart , talent , and good coaching to not be in the playoff picture all season.

The rox banked too much on Ariza being the lead guy. Hes a great player but no kobe. His role on the rockets should be a secondary scorer that shouldnt have to create his own shot.

The Rockets are paying MLE money to "a great player but no kobe", and you said think they banked too much on him?

He have a hard time trying to score by himself. Mostly its Kyle that usually creates for him. But when Tmac comes back, Tmac is the one that will give Ariza his points just because Tmac draws so many attention and he is such a great passer.

I say even if Tmac and Kyle Lowry creates for Ariza, he will be in the 13-15 ppg range. I like him though just because he's a hard working humble player. The only way he can average around 18 ppg is if he plays with a guy like Nash, CP3, or Kidd then maybe. But if he tries to score mostly by creating his own shot, he will have a long tough season.

That shows you the difference between Ariza and Tmac. Both are slender, tall and long. Both are athletic but Tmac is just so much more talented in so many ways. Ariza is just not as smooth and have a hard time dribbling the ball and creating shots. But at least he works harder than Tmac.

I think it has become pointless to argue with people and their expectations of Ariza. Those that are expecting him to become a superstar are just going to dog on him for the rest of his Rocket career.

The perception of Ariza is really getting out of hand based on just a few, "we expect him to have a bigger role than he did in LA" comments. Neither Adelman nor Morey expect him to be a superstar and I've seen no reason to doubt that Ariza will easily earn his MLE money.

He'll be fine. No, he won't average 18pts/game and thats fine. The Mavs game showed a lot of positives he will bring such as great anticipation on passes, steals, athleticism, ability to attack the basket, spot up and shoot. He's trying to do too much right now since we don't have anyone else to create and thats hurting his percentages and turnover rate. Once Tmac is back, he will be a stellar role player who will keep improving.

No way... I'd say about 13 ppg, look for brooks to average 18 ppg also I think landry or scola will average about 16 a game... To hit on budinger I think he'll average about 8 ppg

Expectations are that he will replace Artest. You are the only one comparing him to Kobe.
