lol we wouls sign him to a big cintract....come on guy. why are u actting like we would give him anytype of real money
Oh man. Remember when Dwight was the most coveted big man and we were able to get him on top of already having prime Asik. Oh man oh man
well obviously we wouldn’t be signing him to a big contract... There is no need to even waste our time with this dude. We need contributors, not some known scrub coming off injury who hasn’t even played an NBA game in 2 years just taking up a roster spot.
They are making a deeper playoff push, now it is not the time. Should have kept him for 10 games at the start of the season.
Been thinking that he is the ideal end-of-bench project if we're really serious about going all-in on this small-ball spacing offense. He's the prototypical center for it. Hungry attitude, drastically improved shot, bargain bin price tag. Would like to see him compete with Caboclo. If he makes no difference, fine. People quickly forget that we were mentioning Bennett and McLemore in the same sentence - dumpster diving for 3 point specialist washouts. It's worth a flyer, just have no idea what his injury recovery looks like.
He got injured and had surgery. My issue with Bennett is he seem to have weight problems and will gain massive amounts of weight once he cant play due to injury. That was the biggest reason he became a bust he sprained his ankle or w/e and then gained too much weight to be effective on the court. It's def not a good sign there has been 0 news on him its possible teams took 1 look at him, noticed his weight gain and didnt even bother.
He doesn't have a hungry attitude bro he was a mild mannered person to begin with and then he became the biggest bust in NBA history. Forget having a hungry attitude I would consider it a minor miracle if he doesnt hate bball by now and just pushing himself to play just to pay the bills. What he does have going for him is above average athleticism, pretty high bball IQ (hence he had great analytics stats and averaged 5 asts in gleague) and an extremely varied skillset including above average 3 pt range. If he had a hungry attitude on top of that he would have been a better version of Draymond Green but he didnt so he became the biggest bust in NBA history instead. I still think he is worth a shot, he just needs some counseling and a team willing to give him a support group to succeed. Dude needs some babysitting but the returns would be more than worth it. I've been following this guy almost obsessively since I saw him average 0 pts in the NBA ("wait how can a dude who played so well in college be THIS bad?!?!") thats why I think he is due for a redemption story provided the stars are aligned. I'm hopeful Rox are the team that gets on that boat before it sails away.
A Maybe, maybe not. I'm not his psychologist, but a guy who puts years in the G-league and improves his shot at the rate he has isn't doing it by luck. Ben McLemore is an example of a guy that didn't develop properly from playing on some awful teams.
Robert Horry is the definition of a rare Stretch Forward. In this era Robert Horry will be a Stretch Center. Every Team wants a Robert Horry, but taller, lankier 3 point shooters are non existent still. Stretch Forward Hall of Famer is Robert Horry.
He had bad sleeping habits due to bad nostrils, I believe it was a nasal blockage, he had surgery done to fix this problem years ago,he gained a lot of weight. He fixed his jump shot, it looks completely different. His fitness improved also. The knee injury was unfortunate. I really wanted Mike DAntoni to use him as a Stretch Center, a Block Shots, Bang in the low post, Yes he has Post Moves, can pass in the low post unlike Clint Capela. He has higher IQ than Clint Capela in terms of skill in the low post and shooting 3s and dribbling.
If he's still interested, isn't fat, reasonably fit, why not? Do we have such a gigantic line of players waiting to be bought out and get into Club Rox that we can afford to tell this guy to piss off if he might be able to help? For example, what would you all rather see coming in: Kyle O'Quinn or a healthy Anthony Bennett?
His skills filled a lot of our needs and he seemed to fit last year. He was humbled and his work ethic was showing, BUT an Achilles injury has taken away more then a few careers. I hope he doesn’t become another. The recovery is not easy to normal life much less a professional athlete. I truly wish him well and would like to see him in Rocket Red again.
It was a meniscus tear in his knee that needed surgery. The one player I wanted James Harden to play with, A 3 Point shooting Big Man,thay can really Rebound with his Long Arms, Big Body that can defend the Paint. Please resign him and let him play at RGV to get reacclimated in playing again.
