I don't think yao will get it (no disrespect to the guys he is one of my favorite players in the NBA), but if we get a guy like chris bosh or superstar PF it's big possibility.. u never know

If somehow the Rockets did really well during the season with Yao, I don't think Yao wouldn't get the MVP. Someone else on this roster would receive it other than Yao. Plus when Yao was healthy, he was never in the top runnings for MVP anyway.

Yao cannot even get close to be in a MVP conversation before. So what makes you think he can now? A few years ago, it was Tmac who was in the MVP conversation, not Yao. MVP are for players that make their team great, play well and take over a majority of games. Yao on the other hand keep us in the game but in clutch situation, he usually isn't effective as everyone think he is.

Dwight Howard does more than Yao, put up greater numbers than Yao and his team is better than Yao. But he is not even close to Lebron, Kobe and Durant.

"Yao will never win an MVP in the NBA. IF he does I will kiss Kenny Smith's ass" C. Barkley.
Well he didn't say this, but you all get the point

Jordan won the MVP trophy six times. I feel like Lebron will probably end up winning a minimum of 4. Kobe might win another one or two. Guys like Durant, Carmelo and Chris Paul stand a chance if they win enough games. And all of that is without taking into consideration the talent that will continue to enter the league.

I suppose Yao could do it if he returned at full strength and we finished with one of the best records in the West, but it seems unlikely.

Yao was so close in 2006-2007? I think. That's probably the closest the Rockets will have an MVP for a good while.
