If all of this is true & it is found to be a plan to prevent Tracy McGrady from playing then Yao Ming should think twice about resigning with the Rockets
The Rocket's reputation is at stake here. Les must step in and prevent a major downfall in his club. :p

Basically, I believe in the law and order over individuals.

Adelman likes skilled big men who can pass well and play defense - so yes coach will have interest in playing Yao next season. Not to mention of course that Yao is a class act, team leader, and loved by his city and teammates.

Here is your answer from an earlier post of mine in another thread:

So in conclusion, Adelman will play Yao if Yao returns in healthy and playing shape. Since Yao has a good-work ethic and pushes himself, I don't see a problem. But his body holding up is another story that remains to be seen.

Doesn't matter. He lead his team past the 1st round. TMac was not a part of that...just Yao.

You are a Tmac fan here obviously. Anyways, regardless of the sitaution, Yao got the job done and that was the first time, Yao was ever going to get the blame or credit for that series and he got credit, because the Rockets won that series. Like said and done, T-Mac has also had his chances to advance to the 2nd round and he always failed. He was even favored in the 07' Jazz series and he failed didn't he? Rockets weren't even favored against the Blazers.

Difference is one of them is a douche who butted heads with the coach and decided not to tell team about surgery.

If adelman has a chance to get coach of the year without Yao then he will do it. Just like he's doing right now with Tmac. He wants all the credit.

Why did Tmac do that? I have been wondering it for a long time.

btw, I think Yao and Tmac are in the same boat right now.

WTF are you talking about. Yao will not play this season, TMAC will not be back next season, what did they ask Yao about?

Yao will play when he is 100% healthy and in game shape. Mcgrady will play when he is 100% healthy and in game shape.

Only difference being, Yao will keep his trap shut and work really hard to get into game shape and play at his 100% best when coach tells him he can play.

Mcgrady, however, will open his trap and whine and complain when he isn't 100% in game shape and will likely blame others if he plays poorly, the Rockets do not make the playoffs, or if they get eliminated in the 1st round.

Yao's dedication to the Rocket, his work ethic, and Yao keeping his trap shut > drama queen Mcgrady's cancer attitude

lol i think the situation with yao and tmac is slightly different. I think tmac is getting this treatment cause of last years 1 game in, 1 game out situation. I guess the team wants to make sure that this won't happen again.

Are you sure you're not a Tracy lover and a Yao hater?

    http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=4903920&postcount=242

Do you think we would've made it out of the first round without Yao?

Can we take what you say seriously? Obviously not.

I guess my post does have some truth in it.

I always believe that we need to be able play a bit of both styles. Come playoff time, it's generally the low-post, half court style ... so yeah, Yao would be more than handy.
