    This.

He wants to start, wants $$$.

Lowry gets it done as a starter, and got his $$$.

If TWill and/or Ish can securely back up Lowry, Brooks is probably gone. If he doesn't get traded now, we'll match his offer in the offseason, once the new CBA is reached (in 2013 or so), THEN trade him or Lowry.

I'm not hating on Aaron, but as a starter, he must be paired with a defender, and/or someone who can handle PG-type duties. Now, maybe T-will can be that guy.

Otherwise, do you trade Kevin? Tougher to do.

Do we want Kevin Martin and Aaron Brooks waving the red matador flag out at the perimeter? Chuck/Shane aren't always there to take a charge. Sometimes you have Scola as your "defender" (excuse me; hold on; just a second----BLARF! URP! RAAAAAAAALPH!---okay, better) at the rim. Just doesn't work.

Yes Morey and Adelman both love him.

Lowry, at the time, was a career backup, and a horrible Cleveland team offered him a big contract HOPING that Morey would not match.

I am happy for him, but he was not a starter last year, when he signed that deal, so, how did he get it done as a starter to earn his $$$$?

Brooks will get a much bigger offer than Lowry if he is allowed to hit the market.

He will still be a Rocket unless:

    A. We trade him for a star/superstar

    B. He gets offered too much for us to match

Now as for option A, Lots of people are considering Granger, but the Pacers already have collison. Denver may want Brooks but Melo ain't coming to Houston. Aside from these two who is really available? So the chances for us to get a star are small...

As for option B, I think with the new CBA coming and Brook's lack of defense and relative drop off in performance this year teams may be scared to offer up too much money for him. I give it a decent chance that a team will offer too much for us to match, but I think teams may be chasing other options first...

therefore my vote goes for yes...

He is going to be moved.

Morey will turn a small into a big.

Trade him before the end of the season or we lose him to free agency

If he is restricted he is going to get a much bigger offer than we are able to match. I don't think AB is worth much more than Lowry is getting paid, and I think Lowry is overpaid. Being that Lowry is overpaid, it will drive up the price for AB that much more.

I voted YES, but if they want him they better sign him when they are able to do so.

If you want to be stuck in mediocrity, then paying big for Brooks is the way to go.

Tough question. If he keeps progressing from most improved player of last year he will be expensive to keep. Not to mention he is in most of the higher-end trade discussion.

This is basically how I feel. I don't see Morey giving Brooks more than $8 million a year and I think he will receive offers of $10+ million. Knowing that, I feel like he will be moved so that he doesn't just walk during the summer.

He won't even be a Rocket after the trade dead line. He will want a bigger contract than Lowry and no way we give him that. We won't need him after the trade dead line with the deal Morey will make.
