We have more than just Yao and Kmart, we have defensive specialists, hustlers. We have legitimate talents BESIDES Yao and Martin. This team is better than you think, give them time to gell. I expect them to start turning things around and make a run for the playoffs. We need another streak! Make it 23!!!!

With the right moves this summer, I think it could (as long as Yao is healthy, but that's a given). Our current roster wont be able to beat the top 3 teams in the West in a 7 game series. Hopefully this summer DM will amaze us all and we will see another title in H-Town!

Very true. They are going to open 5 scoring spots. It's a combo of 5. Yao on high post let Kmart cut and AB penetrate. Seems entertaining.

To an extent. Can we put the two of them on a team with 3 other guys like magic and abdul-jabbar? No. Can they win big if surronded by talent in the other positions, a good coach, and a deep bench? Yes.

This is not like the T-Mac and Francis situation where we had no other supporting players. Now we have players that can help out Yao and Martin. Plus we could be getting Amare or Bosh in the summer so I think next year is gonna be the return of Clutch City!

TMAC/YAO didn't work because when TMAC was unstoppable Yao was too Raw. Then they both got injured. Has nothing to diwht Tracy's work ethic. He was the best player on the court in every playoff series we lost. Sometimes its about the team.

It works if you let Shane play SF to cover both Brooks and Martin defense deficiency. And also allow Shane (one of our bulldogs) to cover the opponent's best player night in night out. I don't know if Ariza is as good a Shane defensively. We will see.

Also if Martin isn't playing defense and constantly getting killed...i wouldn't be suprised if Adelman start Ariza and Shane and have Martin coming off the bench instead. Remember, defense WIN CHAMPIONSHIP!!

We were solid with the combo of Artest and Battier in terms of defense and they more than cover Brooks defense deficiency. But Martin and Brooks and just one good defender in Battier?? I don't know...we'll see.

That is totally different. Artest had great defense and could do a little bit of everything. Martin is just a scorer. I'm more interested how Aaron Brooks with his expanded role will work with Yao. Last year seeing him play with Yao, he didn't seem too interested in passing it to the big man.

Big man had high arching foot that constantly cause his lower shin to crack due to stress. Big man get surgery to reduce arch and thus reduce stress... Are you challenged in formulated thinking?

If you thought the Rockets were soft before, wait till you see the Diminished Yao/Martin combo. If we trade Battier then we're going to be the leading candidates for the cotton candy team of the year.
