I liked Wilks; game, but I have a slight concern... When we first got Moochie, he put on a good performance for a while, too. But I think Moochie got complacent. As a matter of fact, I think other Rockets are complacent as well, and I hope that this trade serves as an eye-opener. I also hope that the message that the Rockets receive is, "management wants to win and will do whatever it takes to do so. If you ain't playin hard, shooting well, or don't have your heart in it, you're days are numbered." Moochie's game slipped into junk, and it should be no surprise that he was traded. -- droxford
Hmm..we won't make that same mistake..I don't think! No more big contracts for bench players please! Unless our bench consists of Rashard Lewis, Peja Stojakovic, Ben Wallace, Brent Barry, and Steve Nash.
I was reasonably impressed by Wilks. Now if he can keep this up I have hopes for this guy. But part of this also makes me depressed, because the decision making abilities of our management. We have a guy that can pass, doesn't turn the ball over, can push the tempo and can feed others that sits on the bench behind... Moochie? What the hell is that? Thank god Moochie is gone or Wilks would never have made it off the bench. Now as long as we don't sign him to a 7 year, 5 million per year contract we'll be fine.
I know..isn't that what point guards are SUPPOSED TO DO?!? lol...is it possible to sign someone to a 7 year contract?
Wow, actually some positivity around here...good to see but how long will it last? He only played a few decent minutes, I can't wait to see the posts once he plays more minutes and has a bad game. I can already see the "Let's get a new PG, he's not cutting it". You know how it is around here, you like someone for awhile and then you end up hating him ala Francis, Cat, and Yao.
