I understand your concern, but I doubt there's anything to worry about. My wife hit someone a little over a year ago. My insurance rep said that if we were served with papers to let her know asap, and they'd take care of it. I'm sure that's exactly what will happen.
That's a classic. Or maybe the insurance company will hire a private detective to follow this guy around. My wife thought he was in his 30's or 40's. Oh, and he was driving a JAG!
Faos -- Make sure all communications are written...whether they're between your wife and the insurance company or anyone else. keep a file of that stuff. If you have a phone conversation with someone, follow it up with a "this letter serves to confirm my understanding of our phone conference this afternoon" letter. send it by fax, if possible, and always print out and keep the fax confirmation sheet acknowledging receipt by the other party. I don't want your insurance coming back and trying to claim that you weren't cooperative....or that you didn't give them timely notice of this claim. Just keep a file...it may seem anal...and it probably is...but it's just a good idea
That is weird. Makes me think that they never went to your insurance co. with a B.I. claim in the first place. Usually if an insurance co. denies a B.I. claim, then the person will sue both the insured and the insurance co.
Parking lot vultures are somewhere between athlete's foot fungus and Utah Jazz fans on the evolutionary scale...
The $10000 offer still stands. All it takes is a phone call and this guy can simply drop his case.....for good.....and not the Tonya Harding way....the Jimmy Hoffa way.....yes........ excellent.....
Please don't insult athlete's foot fungus by placing it in the same league as Jazz fans. I know several strains of fungi that are not bad, just misunderstood.
