Sure his pride was hurt a little during this stretch of wins. Just hope he would really play team ball when he comes back and share the balls and move often and defend ...
As presented in the original post, its saying something different than the Chronicle. T-Mac said he wanted the other guys to stay aggressive. I think there was also a misconception with the "adjust." T-Mac was enjoying the offense during the first couple weeks of the season. He only changed back to last year's form when Adelman told the team to do that so maybe the role players would start hitting shots. T-Mac feels he should probably do what he did starting in game 1: Run the gameplan that Adelman sets up.
Damning an entire country's media is going too far, but it's hard not to sympathize given some of the awful hack pieces that we've been reading on this BBS. For example, here is the lead paragraph from the article the OP was taken from (translated by rocketinsider): Utter, utter garbage pretending to be journalism, and it deserves any criticism it receives.
I guess rocketsinder's translation missed out one important message. In Zheng Peng's description, it mentioned that the Washington Wizards mischieviously close-up onto the jumbotron a dozy-looking Tracy McGrady, sitting on the bench, staring at the court, as if he was disinterested in the game, and then voiced-over a mocked up "Where is my hotdog? I am hungry.".... So, were you there at the Washington Wizards game? So did you have anything to prove that Zheng Peng had faked this all up? If the joke played on TMAC was true, and Zheng Peng wrote about it, how was that utter garbage journalism? IMHO, given the American culture, I'm not surprised at all that the Washington Wizards would do something like that to mock and tease Rockets' All Star Tracy McGrady.
This thread is so full of b.s. spin and taking things out of context in order to make T-mac look bad and support the call to trade him that's it's shameless and disgusting. I have no respect for the source that put it up there and it should be added to the banned list of sources to quote from. T-mac said he didn't want to ruin what was going on, and somehow it gets twisted to this? Disgusting.
It is so sad the the thread about What McGrady and Yao actually said has only sporadic reply while this bs thread has gone on for 4 pages.
Ah so that's what it meant! OK I take what I say back about the lead paragraph. I thought it was saying something completely different. But I don't take back what I said about the problems with some of these Chinese articles. There are too many instances of opinions being presented as fact. It's almost as bad as the New York Post. Almost.
Correct! When Yao fire to teammates for their laziness spirit last month, T-mac sulked, Yao should not publish that to the media!
This is complete garbage. I'm outraged that this type of nonsense is going on and wonder how anybody can defend this when it is so blatantly obvious that there is an agenda here to assassinate McGrady's character.
Agreed... and the thread that Mcgrady was getting traded to NY for Marbury + whatever extra got 15+ pages. I can' tbelieve how much gossiping and rumoring people on this board do. Obviously, Mcgrady has stated that he does not want to ruin the team's chemistry and that they have played well... why must we continue to bash him and, consequently, the rockets? just let him play and see what happens...for those of you who follow Chron so closely, take a page out of Feigen's book and don't listen so heavily on every single word. Also, saying that he doesn't have to adjust can hold multiple meanings dependent further upon his tone. Everyone speculating on if Tmac will hurt or help us does nothing when no one is going to know for sure... Let's just enjoy the fact that we are on a 5 game winning streak and the Rockets (yes, the team, not individual players) are playing well.
Hmm. You have quotations. Would McGrady say trough/low ebb? I do not think so, and I have analyzed the things he has said. I am not saying it is not possible, but I think it is unlikely.
It's going from English to Chinese back to English. Just think of what Babel Fish does when you try that.
I guess. But that is clearly from his interview when he arrived to Houston, lol. Oh, these yellow journalists! Gotta love em,lol.
