Yea, I know but I was illustrating a point that I wouldn't be surprised to find out that he wants to beat up a girl. Hell, didn't he used to blow up a doll and say that it was his wife, Kim (?) and beat up on it while he was on stage??

Atleast his director won for best director, Joseph Kahn.

Joseph Kahn graduated from my high school 11 or 10 years before my class. He turned out pretty good.

He lives in Peter Frampton's House.

Oh, you mean the rapper Ludacris does that, too??;)

I really don't care what he does because I will never buy any of his stuff, but I guess I'm bothered with some of his actions.

Sure it was a doll, but from what I read about him, I don't think he would hold back if that doll became a person.

So, I could care less about him trying to sell pepsi, but I do care if he is a blossoming psychopath, ya know?

I think many negative things can be said about him, but I think most of these 'no talent' comments actually translate to "I don't like his music, and his personality annoys me."

Generally, I find most rap to be unlistenable but the engineering/producing work done both for his own albums and especially for Eminem's albums Dr. Dre creates what I consider to be among the most inetresting and enjoyable 'pop' type musical landscapes out there. I get that same 'damn I wish I was cool enough to have made that' vibe that I get listening to, among other things, Radiohead's stuff.

As far as his accomplishments, I apreciate that he's about the only rapper out there to maintain the 'hard' type image of someone like Dr. Dre, while maintaining a healthy sense of self-humor and goofiness. He sort of replaces the normal rapper agressiveness with mischivousness and subversiveness.

I think I also associate with some of his compulsions to 'tweak' convention in a way that at least makes you think about things in a new way. It's sort of the same mentality of a guy like '60's comedian Lenny Bruce.

In many ways he's similar to Bruce, in that in his work he attempts to shock you in order to make you think. And, like Bruce, this seems to translate to a complete lack of self-control in his personal life.

I think, 20 years from now, Dr. Dre and to a lesser extent Eminem are going to be among those credited with expanding rap beyond its somewhat formulaic roots, into a much more dynamic medium, much in the same way that people like the Beach Boys, the Beatles, and the like took rock from it's monotonous "Rock Around The Clock" type predictibility to a world of greater horizons.

the disturbing thing about Eminem is that he is mainstream

He/dre sound good and people can relate to Eminem
good god... how many people hate/hit their women?

I don't think I understood him at all until I heard my cousin singin along to Eminem's "cleaning out the closet". His own parents weren't very kind to him, and I dunno, I could just feel what he was rapping about for a minute

I don't know much about Eminem, but whoever put together that Elton John/Eminem song has talent.

**** all you mother****ers. How can you say Eminem has no talent?

Listen to his freestyle competition tracks. No Dr. Dre producing, no "phat" beats that make his rapping bearable or whatever else you claim his success stems from. Pure Marshall Mathers lyrical talent. The man can flow like no other. He has raw energy, and emotion. He can inspire feelings with his music that the average" 20 inch rims with the PS2 in the Escalade with Iced out chains made out of platinum and hoes with the krystal and shiznit to the hiznit for sheezy one tweezy fo shizneezzy" rapper can't.

Eminem is if anything, an extremely talented rapper who feels as if his antics are what sells his records, when actually his skill alone could sell them.

BTW - What's up with all the love for Moby? I've never liked his sort of smug "I know more about music than you do" attitude. Of course what can I expect from a guy like 'Manny Ramirez' who likes the utterly mediocre 'Radiohead'. Bleh.

A Creed fan calling Radiohead mediocre? That's a laugh.

Eminem looks like he's wearing the old Astros jersey in that pic.

    LMAO @ Nomar and moe

    I'll just ask one question:

In 20 years, guys, what CDs will still be listened to and talked about as classics:

    1) Stuff by Moby and Radiohead

    OR

    2) Stuff by Creed and Enimem

If you honestly believe it's #2, then you might as well also admit that you feel that Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, and any other artist that has withstood the test of time is "mediocre".

I have all three of Eminem's albums and think they're kind of entertaining. But, I think I've gotten tired of all them after one week. Most of his lyrical content isn't about anything else but him, his tifts with defenseless pop stars like Christina Aguillera (damn he's really hardcore picking on a teenage girl), saying f*** you to those who don't approve of his lyrical content, killing the mother of his child, killing his mother, and constantly shoving it in the listener's face that he loves his daughter. That pretty much sums up his lyrical content to those who didn't know.

If his lyrics are truly having an effect on someone other than just casual amusement, I don't think I would want to know that person.

Moby and Eminem.....I'm just about cracking myself up.....I have this vision of those two little men scrapping.

Ultimately, I'm sure this will sell more records for both of them and give the VMA's a bigger Nielson share next year. Bravo for the music industry.

Triumph? Are we talking about the Canadian three piece band famous for such songs as "Spellbound" and "Thunder Seven"??

I dont watch MTV or the VMAs, so I really have no idea.
Or is there another group that is using the name?

I do think Eminem has talent. I even like some of his songs. Although I think some of the stuff he does outside of his music is pure nonsense.
And while I am not ready to include Radiohead in the same class as Zep, Stones and Presley yet, I do like alot of stuff they do. Havent listened to a whole lot of Moby so i cant say too much about him.

Actually, what I heard was that Moby was booing him and he referred to Moby as a little girl.
