You realize that same Boozer destroyed Duncan also, right?

He is only playing 24 mpg. This means that utter crap like Kwame or Chris Mihm are taking significant time away from him. If a bench player were very good and deserving to start and only on the second unit to provide more bench scoring, then they play 30+ mpg like Ginobili or Jason Terry. Bynum still has coasting issues and periodically Phil needs to yank him to get him on task. He has great size, solid post moves, and pretty good athleticism, but he needs to keep his head in the game. That is his weakness. You're wrong if you say he plays with fire. He will make a nice move in the post and score but then get burned on defense because he wasn't concentrating.

I dont think yao is a great player, but he is a very good one. The reason why he's not a great players is because he does nothing great. He's not a great offensive player nor defensive player. He's not a great, passer, scorer, rebounder, shot blocker, passer or anything. he's good at somethings. That doesn't mean i would or wouldn't trade him. If they offered me kobe, he's gone now. That doesn't mean he's a liability in any sorts

Actually Kobe only comes here for Tracy. That's it. Tracy is the one who has claimed this team as his, calling his teammates his supporting cast. Tracy needs to will this team to victory. Otherwise, I'd welcome #8/#24 in place of McGrady. I starting lineup of Yao, Scola, Battier, Kobe, and Skip is a great lineup. With that said, I would hate to see Tracy traded--if for nothing else, I have too many of his jerseys!

just watch the games. i don't like talking to people who make up crap from a year ago and don't watch. farmar plays 20 minutes a game and according to your logic, he's not that good either and very inconsistent right b/c he can't get minutes away from fisher. watch the games. listen to what the opponents' analysts are saying and u will get the point.

and yea, compare a 20-yr old bynum to certified all-stars in ginobili and terry, who should be starters (in fact everyone knows they're starters who just sit on the bench and come in even before their replacement break a sweat)

yea comparing their minutes is very logical.

If a player needs to be benched periodically for the coach to yell at him to get his head in the game, he does not play with fire. If he can overcome his concentration issues he will be a very good player.

i'm assuming you're talking about last yr (b/c bynum has not been criticized much by phil this yr but applauded). he's 19 last yr. any young player would have lapses of losing focus. that didn't mean he didn't play with fire. he doesn't know where he should be defensively last yr at times, when to box out... he's 19.

dude plays with fire. any dude that yells at his teammate during a freakin preseason game and says, "gimme the f**** ball" that guy wants to play.

ur chinese so you will defend him forever, i respect that. i dont blame u but ur being a homer here for yao.

i like yao but hes not going to lead this team anywhere and the op has valid points i dont think we will ever win anything with him because hes a choker and the bigger the moment the bigger he chokes like the utah game 7 when he lost three straight rebounds and result was jazz beat us with two threes. :(

yao can get a lot in return so just put him on the market and u will see how much we can get for him. will it ever happen? no cause the owner loves him and will never trade his money away. but the city deserves a champion and yao aint it. he tries hard and plays hard but in the end he is not great enough

After five seasons, two with season tickets, I'm also just about to give up on Yao. I honestly don't think this team will get anywhere with him as their franchise player. It's not personal and has nothing to do with Yao's character or disposition. He just doesn't have the physical ability and skills to win big games. He's too easily exploited on the defensive end and neutralized on the offensive end. The Rockets need to shop him and assess what his value is. Can we get Kobe Bryant for Yao? It's something any franchise should seriously consider.

I'm not against trading Yao, but Kobe is not the answer here. If we trade Yao, we have to get a young big man in return. That's the only condition under which I would consider trading Yao. Can we win a championship with Kobe and TMac? NO! Just like we can't win one with Yao and TMac right now.

On the other hand, how many young big men out there are worth trading Yao Ming for? Dwight Howard is definitely one as he's probably already better than Yao, but Orlando would be crazy to trade him. Carlos Boozer? The Jazz probably won't and I don't know if Boozer would be as effective in Houston's system as he is in Utah's. Chris Bosh? I don't think he'd do better than Yao here. After that, there really aren't that many great young big men out there. The only interesting scenario I can think of is that if Greg Oden regains his full health and we can work out a deal with the Blazers including Olden and one or two more of their young players.

Hey TOFs, check this out and this is the honest truth. The Rockets is Yao's team. This team is Yao's team. When TMac scores more, Rockets has a bigger chance of losing. But when Yao scores more, their chance of winning increases unless the whole team fell asleep.

The only way for this team to succeed is for TMac to be the facility, and Yao the scorer. TMac is facilitating, and Yao is scoring. This is what Rockets basketball is all about. This team is the Big Man's team.

TOFs, please shut your traps cause you guys are totally clueless. TMac can be traded, but Yao is untouchable. Like it or not, get a damn clue.

No wonder none of you TMac fans be getting any loving on Thanksgiving. LOL!!!!

Thats because millions of Chinese fans want Yao to be traded to Los Angeles but not for Kobe.

I have seen so many comment on Yao these days, but that is the most rational.
