SamCassell is right. This site its original form was here way before 1999. I think I joined back in 1998, but I'm pretty sure this place has been up a few years before that. And yes, the home page used to be the place to go first for breaking news.

Saying you will "recognize" somebody is basically saying "I will notice you", or "I will acknowledge you". I wouldn't be so pissed if you've would've just replied instead of going through all that 1999ers are original and awesome thing. I respect 1999ers as I've said many times before, but you gotta respect those who aren't as well.
