Wafer can shoot, but I don't think he's capable of taking his man off the dribble. It's kind of obvious that he has a relatively weak left hand.

Question: What are four types of players the Houston Rockets do not have on their roster?

Yao has improved since his first 2-3 years at sealing, but he's still not good enough at it where it should be a primary option to reverse the ball to him. That's why we shouldn't force it into him everytime down the court when defenses are fronting.

Well, a healthy McGrady would fill #1, and #4. Our shooters are on and off, but capable enough to beat a fronting defense. And Scola/Landry are more than capable of cutting to the basket and finishing. <- especially Landry.

then i think you can say he just needs to be able to drive to the rim, or accelerate on a defender. A teammate can always set a pick for him to free him up for even a second, after that Wafer is quick enough to get to the rim and quick enough to get by the defender who switched on to him (usually he's a big).

Apparently he lets some slow, often injured Asian beat the piss out of him every time they play.

Like it has been said over and over, Yao is not Howard or Shaq. He does not have their athleticism. Why dont you wonder why Shaq or Howard never hit free throws?

I dont think anyone actually would want to front Dwight, he's got no post moves besides a hook and a weak turnaround. He probably doesn't even know what its like to be fronted and it has nothing to do with him not letting defenders.

Penetration and a PF/SF at the FT line for the quick ball reversal as Yao seals his man.

Why we get beat by the fronting defenses? because we didn't have a guy who can beat the fronting defenses. The best way to beat the fronting defenses is to put our center or PF at perimeter in order to draw their center or PF off the paint, then our guards and SFs will break into the rim easily. But the problem is their big guys stay still in the paint when yao and scola are standing at perimeter. You wanna know why? because there's no need to worry about yao or scola because they are disabled at that location. Scola and yao both have great mid-range shooting skills but just don't have 3 abilities. Now we have already got a PF who can hit 3s. He's a little undersized for a PF, but he's gonna do much more than scolandry who are undersized too. You wanna know whom he is? He is Marion.

    Tmac+Hayes=Marion+James Jones+second round pick for next year(Mia)+some $s.

You don't need a 3-point shooting PF to beat the fronting defense. All you need is a man who can beat his man off the dribble and get into the paint, and draw the opposing PF. Once he does that, Scolandry can cut to the basket for an easy score or putback.
