Wafer is a below average ball handler as a shooting guard and a terrible ball handler to be a point guard
Well since Tmac brings a lot to the table, make him set up the offense. The best way to go is work inside out, so throw it into Yao and spread the floor out with shooters. Von looks like he's mobile enough to bounce off screens and check smaller guards so defensively you'll be fine. Offensively someone else can take the ball handling duties and since it looks like mac's struggling a bit, make him set the offense, dump into Yao, spread the floor out and make the defense honest. They pay for leaving Yao in an island one on one or Yao passes it out to the sharpshooters when a double arrives.
This Yao/Mac screen and roll just looks so awkward, I wouldn't run it too often. They obviously aren't that effective in playing a 2 man game.
I suggested this in an earlier thread, due to the fact that Shane and Tracy troll the perimeter all game so might as well have Tmac do it. Also, Wafer could put that fire in the starting line up that seems to be lacking.
Impossible. T Mac would pout, and his numbers would diminish even further. Worse, he'd become an even bigger distraction. Basically, players with huge salaries and guaranteed contracts can get away with far too much, and there's nothing their teams can really do about. That's OK, I don't know if Tracy understands this, but he's playing himself off this team, and he has no one to blame for it but himself.
exactly both of these guys have egos, and one of these guys is our highest paid player. how do you think they would react coming off the bench? i think ron was ok with it when he got here. I never heard tmac say he'll be fine coming off the bench. not gonna happen.
