some good points. i just want to add that it takes 5 THAT WORK WELL OFF OF EACH OTHER to win a 'ship. see, td and the spurs are great. but you can't deny that they somewhat got lucky in picking up players in all these years. i mean their scouting and management are great, but parker and ginobili etc. could've been average, too.

Yao Ming's greatnes will rise to the top. How long did it take Hakeem to win his first championship versus how long has Yao been in the NBA?
As regards taking on the role you have failed to consider the way Yao was brought up. He is used to doing what he is told by the authority, also Yao seems to have a character that avoids shaming his teammates! Like the fact that it was impolite to dunk on a fellow competitor, Yao will eventuallly surmount all the cultural drawbacks which he is fighting to overcome. Remember Yao Ming is Chinese NOT American. When you look at his game you have to consider the special circumstances. :p

Simply you are not Alexander so that the Rox does not take orders from you. You can BS whatever you want, but they will continue building the Rox around Yao.

You may come up with something else substantial rather than sit behind the screen and bash every one around. :)

Another thing I would like to draw attention to is about Yao Ming's Stats this season.
Yao seems to be forced into a situation by the standard of talent of the team and the new coaching philosophyto be uncommitted to his personal stats of scoring. He seem drawn into the philosophy that he and possibly others should reach out to others to assist their games.[The Vlade Divats Syndrome]
I would rather like to see Yao improving the team by having some great games of 30-40 points instead of 18-25, of course he would not be getting the occasional 3 assists. Also he needs to play less minutes to make him more efficient. Being so big with limited stamina he should play no more than 36 mins a game. if Yao had stats of 30 pts and 11 rbs. a game I think the tone of this post would have been different. :p

I don't know why people are flaming Old Man Rock for his Duncan comment. Realize that he didn't mean to say Yao is better or even comparable to Duncan. Instead, he's pointing out the fact that if you look at Duncan's numbers from the past few championship years, it obviously doesn't put him on top of any category. He put up nearly 20 points a game last season (championship year), with 10.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 2.4 blocks. None of those statistics is wildly impressive, therefore his performances in those aspects of the game was not "great."

Yi JianLian is a way better athlete than Tim Duncan. He runs faster and jumps way higher. Anyone don't think so must be delusional. At least Del Harris knows what's up.

    Dude, stop embarrassing yourself!

The OP has a point. But you are dumber than a sack of hammers. If I were the OP, I'd be very embarrassed to be endorsed by a piece of dumb f*** like you. So you are preaching hate now by hiding behind the old-timers? What a coward. Now you YOBH should just crawl back to your hole and let the true Rockets fans with basketball knowledge to continue this discussion. What a moron.

Are you trying to censor someone with threatening? Who do you think you are? You are just a nobody who don't even have enough intellectual ability to make an argument without calling someone a YOF. How sad.

Yao was playing out his mind last season before the injury.

He even had the cocky attitude when hes on the court. But ever since the injury, he is so inconsistent...

Whoever believes that YaoYiPower is a real Yao Ming's fan is r****ded. I wouldn't be surprised if he and StarScream aka StarScum is actually the same person. What is a better way to make a group of people look bad by impersonating to be one of them and then making outrageous comments? Right, his name is YaoYiPower so he must be a Yao Ming fan because it can't be more obvious than that. ROFL. I guess only the simple-minded folks would be fooled.

You are being played like a yo yo by this YaoYiPower. You are r****ded if you believe he's a real Yao's fan. Try to use your brain before you let someone hurt your sensitive soul next time.
