1-1 vs Utah 1-1 vs Denver 2-0 vs Portland 1-2 vs GSW 1-1 vs Orlando 1-1 vs LAL 11-14 vs play-off teams(not counting anyone under 3 seed in east - but that will only raise the record).
33 and 16 rebounds while he got 5 rebounds! oops sorry thats Yao who got 5 rebounds while Al who he was defending got 33 and 16 rebounds. Don't blame TMac when our Center got only 5 rebounds! While their "Center Forward" got 16! Game 7 against Jazz last year flashback! Yao got 7 rebounds in that GAME! Anyways, stop blaming TMac when obviously there are other glaring weak defensive efforts by others on the team.
I think the McGreedy comment signifies you as a McGrady hater.....If Yao were more assertive and effective then he would get the ball more. The Rockets are a great team when Yao is the number one option but when he has had a couple of bad games and let himself be taken out by the opposition then why should he get the ball 20 feet away from the basket? McGrady did what he had to do to produce a win and that is what counted....Thats is why we have two superstars on our TEAM!
can you tell me how many games in there was without TMac? I don't remember us beating any of the above four teams without TMac. But I am fairly sure we lost quite a few of those games without him.
T-Mac is our best closer and finisher....Yao is our best 1st option....when both players are shooting it well and more assertive and knowing their roles we will be a a good team.
How many times are we going to beat this horse? Great coaches design systems around players, not the other way around. The triangle was derived from a lack of a true pg, but they had 2 good ballhandlers in pippen and jordan. The jordan triangle was different than the shaq one. After the breakup, they still ran the same offense, but wound up winning 20 games. Systems are designed for the less talented players. Players win games, not systems! If systems won rings, why not run the duke system in pros?
ok so we are 4-6 against great teams with TMac. Its not that bad! They are after all the elite teams!
ah I thought so. That makes sense, hard to believe it was only two games we lost against these teams without TMac.
I guess you must love pistons' bball a lot. Bball is a great entertainment, and star performance is an important part of it.
The Lakers and the Rockets are similiar....Kobe is a better penetrator than Mac but both require a double team everytime they recieve the ball....The difference is that Farmer and Fisher are hitting open shots....Rafer and Brooks are not...If the Rockets can consistently hit the open three all this stuff would be a moot point...
I do think they should give Mike James more playing time because he is a better shooting threat than Rafer and Brooks....he just has a low BBall IQ and maybe playing time and coaching would help
In fact, I think the real question is that, why are the rockets players willing to let Tmac handle the ball a lot? If they didn't want to, they could 'isolate' Tmac.
Where do you draw the line at elite teams?? Utah, Denver, GSW, and Orlando are all over .600 winning percentage. Portland was right there, but they are certainly in the running and I guarantee you if we had lost to them the tune would be a bit different. Bobby Bowden quote: "It's not a big game if you win." Modified qoute: "They're not an elite team if you win."
James should be getting more time with Head injured, so hopefully if he finds his stroke it gets him better rotational minutes. Make no mistake, James had an opportunity for about 15-20 games and played his way out of the rotation.
Mac, I like the stats but the ball does become stagnant once it hits his hand. I've never seen one player take so many difficult jumpers. Even Jordan lost his man and free himself for an easy jumper.
