Why the Rockets should think twice about firing McHale (here's a hint: Kevin Love)

We lost in the first round last year with only one all-star and somehow we convinced Dwight to come along. So your logic just got blowed up. Now we have TWO all-stars and played a great first round series of the ages with a head coach with a long previous history with Kevin Love and you don't think we have a shot at getting him?

Would not be surprised if people are signing a different tune about McHale a year from now. This team is INCOMPLETE....we don't have the pieces to go the distance. Once we get the 3rd star and fill out this bench, we are going to be very dangerous.

Would a player really consider a team with Harden and DH that are perennial first round exits? Also, doesn't everyone from MIN hate McHale?

Why not make McHale the GM then to recruit and Morey can tinker with our coaching strategy? geeez

Rockets' incompetence is showing. Most respected media outlets are exposing McHale's lack of coaching; fans are angry, and you still want to keep the buffoon.

Kevin Love is being traded to the team with the most assets that feels it can keep him, we're pretty high in that, but not at the top. The other alternative is Love in free agency, and holy ****, if we have to re-sign Mchale to another 3-4 year deal for that...

We will be dangerous to ourselves.

0.9 secs with a 2 pt lead and we still blew it! Laughing-stock

So, Dwight and Love would rather play for him and never win a championship? I believe Dwight would now wish to get rid of McHale as much as anybody.

We could have TheBron, Howard, Durant, and Paul... and we still would not win a ring with Milk Hair.

Jesus, I would be so worried if Kevin Love came here with this "no defense" coaching staff. Dude is the absolute worst defensive star in the league.

Honestly the biggest problem with our defense is the rebounding, if we werent such a poor defensive rebounding team, we'd conceivably be a top 5 defensive team. We basically give up 2 points a game more than the good defensive teams on rebounding alone.

That's a good point, but Kevin Love is probably worse than Terrance Jones defending on the block, and that's saying a lot.

We will need a better team defense and we ain't getting that with McHale at the helm.

Love's a pretty decent post defender (tremendous core strength, hence his rebounding), you certaibnly don't want him switched on a guard, but eh, in a best of 7 series, he'd for example beat Aldridge h2h at least 5 in 7 and a cpl of those would be complete ownage.

Managment fails to build a team around Love to get into the playoffs, he is a free agent when Lin and Asik are free agents.

You can get a third team involved.

We just need to give Chandler a big contract. Then, he can begin to play defense again.

Really? After being completely out coached this post season players would still line up to play under him?

McFail apologists want an All-Star player at every position on the Rockets, and then when they lost in the WCF, they will say that it was the refs fault....definitely not McFail because he recruited the players and they never listened to and performed his instructions as he gave them.

Hmm, I was under the impression that statistically he was top 2 or 3 in the league in worst post defense, but I may be mistaking.

The only people I think at this point that want to keep Mchale seem to be team management.

That was my impression. He's good in the post one on one...not a paint defender like Asik or Dwight.

Think about how different the series with Portland would've been with a guy like Love. Lopez can't contain Howard, and Aldridge gets pulled away from the paint by Love. That leaves plenty of room our guards to drive the lane. On the defensive end, Lopez doesn't kill you like he did when Asik or Howard weren't guarding him.
