Scole missed some easy layups, right. And he's not getting many of those 15 foot jumpers which is bad, he can easily make them. He made probably 1 or only 2 of them. But he is pretty good player, really. As Drexler said, we need to go to him on the low post. It can make shooter open and it can also be a good way to score points. But one think to Scola when he plays on the low post. He gets the ball here and.....he is so slow, it is about 5 or even more seconds till he makes any move. That's not good cause playing in the lowpost you wanna make one quick move and attempt a hook shoot or layup, that's all. So he need to sure what he wanna do. As for Rafer he had some in and out shoots but he has to make them. When the shoot is not falling than go and drive it inside. He had a couple of really nice drives during the 3rd quater.
No, the reason the offense struggled is because the Rockets were slumping. Apparently people find it hard to believe that a team can actually struggle for a short while.
By the way, T-Mac "dominated" and "stagnated" the offense so much that Rafer got 19 shot attempts and scored 17 points. Scola got 11 shot attempts and scored 13 points. Battier got 14 shot attempts and 12 points. Mike freaking HARRIS got 8 shot attempts and scored 12 points, with some of the points coming off a T-mac pass! McGrady had 4 assists in the game and wasn't even the main factor in the 4th quarter offensive Mike Harris was! Didn't Harris score like 10 or 12 points in the 4th quarter!?
nah, not possible! everything must go according to the game plan! our opponents won't try to take anything away from us! flexibility is overrated! plus, we always shoot well from the outside opening up the inside game! and don't interrupt me with any facts! facts are overrated too!
The team goes as Rafer goes. Seems like the better Rafer plays the better everyone else plays and that includes T-mac.
lol...you really dont understand bball do you??? mcgrady can stagnate the offense and not even take one shot if he holds on to the ball and then passes at the end of the poss. Its about the extra pass not the one that leads to the assist... I think we will revert back to what we where doing before...but lately the ball has stopped moving...just because you tell me rafer had 19 shots doesnt say anything about ball movement...infact mcgrady can shoot 35 times and we can still have ball movement and he can shoot 5 times while we have no ball movement
I have to agree with the original post. We did get some even scoring, but the ball could've moved better. We got lucky because it was just the Bobcats, but we're gonna have to swing the ball much better against the Lakers. There were a few too many times when t-mac would line up his defender as if he were going to drive and then shoot a jumper. Luckily they went in, but that's not how we got the first 19 wins. I'd like to see a lot more swinging the ball around tomorrow. It's not just t-mac's fault, I think the whole team needs to be vigilant about not holding onto the ball too long.
there is a lack of a strong internal finisher such as Yao and Landry, so Tmac and Alston can only hold the ball themselves instead of passing it inside. Scola would have become free if Landry were there last several games.
I feel when tmac run and someone block his defender and then he catch the ball and shot jumper is the better way than Tmac just post high and Rafer pass the ball to him and then everyone stand to watch or wait. Look at our wins, in this way, tmac can shot 30 times no problem. I just don't like Tmac be doubled after he got the ball in high post, it is so hard to pass out and make tmac tired. When I see him drive so hard and shout out I really want to someone step up and can give him some easy buskets. Ballence, we just want to see ballance O. in this way Tmac is sort of relax and can hit high percent jumper and when we really need him in last few mins, he has energy to drive to the rim.
One player that nobody is talking about is Bobby Jackson. Why isn't he contributing?? I checked out his stats game after game and it seems like he's not doing much. I am really surprised because knowing Bobby, i know he's still capable of being a huge factor for this team.
Both he Hawks and Bobcats played their defense pretty well in those meetings. That explains everything. And we won because our defense was better.
All I know is that they better hit their shots tomorrow or the Lakers are going to blow them out. Rafer can't afford to put up 4 for 16 or something like that. He needs to drive to the basket and only shoot outside when open or late in the clock. He's been throwin crap up early in the clock and that ain't gonna cut it. They big thing they need to do is play that lock down defense they've been playin. They've been at their best when they drive to the hoop and play d. It opens everything else up fo them.
