Do yall not remember Rafer's inconsistency?

He'll go 5-7 one night from the 3 bomb, but then 1-15 (shooting more than Yao) overall.

Our starting PG just won the game for us. Plays ran FOR HIM at the end of the game and he stepped up and let his teammates know they can count on him.

Give him time with the turnovers, this was his FIRST game truely being our starting PG!

Lowery just said he didnt know ANY plays at the start of the game, they were showing him the plays to run during time outs and while the Mavs were shooting free throws. I love his tough-nosed play, he wasnt backing down from anything.

Obviously the starter of this tread has a problem with "Premature THREADulation"

This place has no perseverance. They will be pissed off at the first bad performance either brooks or lowry have.

I for one am not expecting much. I'm just going with the flow and staying happy.

Anyone realize what Yao's 0 assist means?

That he had Dampier's hand holding his right arm and Josh Howard's hand holding his left arm everytime he got doubled and tried to make a pass?

Yao's had 10 0-assist games already this season. It's not that uncommon for him.

And he'd have gotten more assist opportunities if didn't turn it over so frequently when getting doubled. He did a poor job against the Mavs double teams today ... can't blame that on the PGs.

If they saved any money, it wasn't much. This wasn't money motivated at all.

I don't understand how much money they saved. I doubt Cook ops out. He is getting paid like 3.5M next season, where the hell will he get that kind of money in this economy. Even if the economy wasn't bad, who the hell would pay cook that much.

He won't opt out. He'd be an idiot to do so. But, he will be an ending contract for the 2010 summer.

You obviously have not been well versed in the art of SARCASM Noob.

Rafer will end up not even starting over ANTHONY FREAKIN JOHNSON!

Do you hold stock in the AND1 Mixtape DVD franchise or something?

And if you understood what you were watching tonight at all you would know that the Mavs were running 3 types of defenses, and I will explain them to you...

1)Playing straight up Man to Man, and when Yao got the ball he immediately turned around and shot easy J's over Damqueer.

2)Fronting Yao; this means Yao doesnt get the ball to dish it out to the shooters, he gets the ball when our gaurds penitrate and break down the interior D for easy lay-ups

3)Zone "Junk" Defense where Brooks and Artest were killing them by running high pick and rolls and dishing to the corners.

LOL. Like that's an indicator of anything. There have been 29 games this season where he's had 0 or 1 assist. You act like he gets a ton of assists and they all go to Rafer for 3's.

Besides, normally when Yao kicks it out, it normally gets swung around before somebody takes a shot. That's the way it worked with Hakeem too.

Who cares how they get their 3's anyway. Brooks might get them on a screen. Rafer may get them in transition. No, he misses those.

On average, the Rox shoot 8 for 21 from behind the arc. Tonight they were 9-19. So tonight, they were better than average and Aaron was 3-5.

Dude you're a freakin moron...you really think Rafer would have been able to stop Barea the way he was shooting the rock tonight? If so, you haven't watched many games the past 4 years.

AND we saw a glimpse of what is to come with Lowry...the dude will break down his defender and either A) dish out for an open 3 or B) FINISH at the bucket...unlike Rafer who is a HORRIBLE finisher!!!

Get over your infatuation with Rafer...we got 10 years younger and Lowry is $4 mill cheaper than Alston! Why pay $5 mill for a backup (yes, Rafer plays like a backup) PG that has gotten as good as he'll ever get when you can have a 22 yr old (that will only get better) for $1 mill?

we'll see if this trade works out, we didn't play particulary well tonight but we still have a lot of tough games ahead of us, and it makes me weary to think we have a sophmore starting at the point and no tmac.
