Don't go jinxing him DD. I really like him. You can go jump his bandwagon if he decides to leave, otherwise you need to say that he's the second coming of Adam Morrison or Anthony Bennett.
I don't like comparing white players to other white players. He can be like Cedric Ceballos. Good rebounding 3, can run, cut to the basket, finish, shoot from 3, do a little bit of everything. Ceballos's nicknames were Ice and Garbage Man.
Ceballos was a lot smaller and couldn't shoot from the 3 very well. He only had 2 seasons where he shot well from there.
I'm hoping he becomes similar to Rashard Lewis or Hedo Turkoglu. He may end up like Battier which isn't a bad thing.
True, but he also played in an era that didn't emphasize the 3 ball. Dekker wasn't known as a great 3pt shooter in college. He was smaller, but grabbed a lot of boards (8 per 36 for his career, Dekker averaging 7.8), dunked a lot and always seemed to get those junk points underneath. Neither is gonna get a lot of assists or be a great iso guy. Ceballos averaged a decent amount of points, I think Dekker can score more too

Whether Sam will ever be a strong starter or just a sort of an energy guy depends on him getting better at hitting threes. It would seem to be very possible given that this is his first year playing. He already has good court awareness, a nose for the ball and can drive and play defense pretty decently,
