Skate and Spiderman 3 are both on 360 and they both suck. The 360 has the best controller ever. Motion sensing controllers are overrated.
Semi-OT, but for anyone who has played it, is Eternal Sonata any good? I'm wondering if I should be interested in the PS3 version that will be coming out next year. As mentioned, there aren't many next-gen JRPGs, let alone good ones. Of course, by that point, WKS and a few other PS3 RPGs will probably be out. It does now. It didn't upscale them at first, but a firmware upgrade enabled the feature. It is actually really good at it too. I think they might be working on improving it further (another 40%-50%?), but that is probably after they finish some other things on their to-do list....which is probably 100s of pages long at this point. But Spiderman 3 on the PS3 let you play as the Green Goblin. With a feature like that, I don't even know why they bothered putting out a 360 version. I actually thought Skate was pretty good, based on the demo I played anyway. I liked it a lot better than the latest Tony Hawk game.
I own a 360, will probably get a PS3 a few years down the line, like alot of people. My neighbor has a PS3 and I've had extensive time with it, and it's pretty cool. The menus and interface are way sharper and now much more customizable, which is nice. Something about the 360 already makes it feel 'last gen' to me. That being said, I don't really care for any of the PS3 exclusives. Heavenly Sword is a super short beat-em-up (albeit a gorgeous one) Motorstorm gets old quickly (I prefer Stuntman 2 for driving...only played the PS3 version but it's on both) and I'm apparently the only person in the world who finds the Ratchet and Clank game to be dreadfully boring. I'm going to hold off on the PS3 until it offers me something 360 can't, namely Square Enix games...
Is the XBOX HD DVD player that you can get with the 360 on par with an HD DVD player that you can buy separately?

I like the 360 more. It has a bigger and better selection of games, a fun online service, and the achievements are fun.
I haven't played the latest R&C (besides the demo), but I don't particularly care for the franchise. It looks great, and the game is probably a great platformer...but I just don't really like platformers (or at least none of the previous R&C games). I might rent it if I finish a bunch of other games, but only because I feel as if I owe it to Insomniac to at least give it another shot. I'm not really a big fan of MotorStorm either, although again, mostly because I'm not a fan of driving/racing games. I will say that I enjoyed the demo of MotorStorm much more than I enjoyed the demo for Stuntman 2 (not that they're really that similar though). Stuntman 2 has some good ideas, but I didn't really like the execution. Apparently they did a better job with the sequel than they did with the original game though. I loved Heavenly Sword, although I don't have a problem enjoying short games...I just won't pay full price for them. I pretty much feel the same about HS as I did with the original GOW. GOW3 is one of the reasons I wanted a PS3, and I'm not even sure I'll buy the game strangely enough. Most of the other PS3 exclusives I've enjoyed have been, ironically enough, shooters (mostly Resistance and Warhawk with a little bit of Super Stardust HD). I'll probably give Uncharted a playthrough in the next couple of weeks. Folklore is probably the only (released) PS3 exclusive not involving guns that I'm interested in (not counting MLB 07 The Show). I've been meaning to play it for a while, but I haven't found the time. It also wouldn't surprise me if the 360 had more Square-Enix games in the near future than the PS3...not that any of them would probably be that good though.
I just got the 3 flashing red lights on my 360 just now. Called customer support. My 1 year warranty expires Thursday. I know they extended it to 3 years but I think that's misleading. Anyway, apparently they're going to send me a box and I'm going to send them my 360 in it. Who here has done this? How long does it take? I'm not a hardcore gamer or anything but I want to know how I have to wait to get my 360 back.
I had to do it. takes a couple of weeks, but then again i'm in ohio. you send it to somewhere in texas, so if you're down there, prob be sooner.
got a message on live, said on the 4th they're doing something, its going to allow people to see your friends lists or something.
What should I do if I want to get the 3 red rings? My friend's Xbox keeps freezing and they said it's not covered under warranty. So we've been trying to intentionally get the red rings
