I don't expect Spanoulis to be a Rocket next season but I do expect that when we come to our selection in the Draft, position eight, that we will have the opportunity to pick a better player than Carney. I just hope that the Rockets dont imitate last offseason [Swift] by having their minds set in concrete. As the Rockets needs are many it's going to take much creativity and lucky to get all things moving in a positive flow.

At least we could then find out how well Morey performs on the reach around. Unless CD wants one last shot at it.

No one's going to give up anyone of dramatic impact for our #8 pick...so why not just draft a young kid and add some more youth and try and balance our roster with a nice mix of veterans and young players, similar to what the Mavs have done?

Ya Exactly.. just draft the best young player out there whether it's Roy/Brewer/Carney whoever and hope they can be our Josh Howard.

I would trade the pick to the Knicks for Jamal Crawford

The Knicks would gladly do it, because Chicago has their pick and we could force them to take Juwan's contract off our hands as part of the deal as well.

They did take Mo Taylor off our hands and J-Ho would actually become their second best forward behind Channing Frye. Another reason the Knicks would do it is that Crawford's deal is much longer than J-Ho's contract.

Then in Crawford the Rockets get a young proven player with no ego who can contribute immediately and can be the starting SG/3rd proven scorer the team needs. The Rockets then would become serious contenders, which is something the presence of Roy, Carney, Williams etc...won't do.
