Garcia should be the 12th or 13th man on a great team.

Fisher is the resident r****d. I love Garcia, but anybody that watches the games and has a decent IQ realizes that Garcia gets into his slumps quite frequently and doesn't do much else.

At least AB & Lin are actual PGs and AB seems to be the only one capable of making the post pass.

But you were the same person that said we should have Canaan play and also cut Brooks since he wouldn't be necessary right?

Just as delusional as the LOFs...carry on with your trolling par par

We have 3 PGs that are all decent backups, but not starters. Garcia in there instead though? Just give the man pity rep for trying so hard.

Garcia just needs more athleticism and speed. Those abilities are lacking and he won't get those things back with age.
He actually did not have them during his career.

Were you at a dwarf fetish club and Aaron Brooks snagged compromising photos of you nads deep in a Cornish game hen?

This Is really the only plausible explanation. Brooks was a zero last night - displaying his full panoply of horribleness.

Other than marginally outplaying the ****-awful Lin on D for a few minutes he was a horror show. terrible shooting. lots of pointless dribbling that wastes possessions. Zero playmaking (his entry passes generally come at 2.9...). bad defense.

Other than Kevin McHale playing a "hunch" and having no alternative- he would have found himself in the China league where he belongs after last night.

But u still love him, so that must count 4 sum ting! ;)

Surely Garcia should be one of the Rockets who should depart, he is almost without worth on a potential Championship team! Since he lost his shooting and his defense.Y :p

People hate Lin so much that they want Garcia, who is a borderline backup these days to start?
The way how Collective intelligence in this forum has plummeted is scary.

My bad. No one said Garcia should start.
I am ok he is given 10 plus minutes on the court. But he has to find his 3 pt shot quick. Else when Bev is back, he will not see much court time.

Shea and Baker in their book Basketball Analytics had Lin ranked 45th in the NBA on their rating called AV (approximate value) a measure of a players value to their team for last year. ( all 82 games were included). This measure includes a comprehensive measure of defense called defensive stops. Lin was ranked third most valuable player on the Rockets. The Numbers were: Harden= 1617. Parsons=1294, Lin=1208,Asik=1130. They present compelling data that AV is a better estimate of a players value to the team than PER,PIE and other measures. I don't know where you got your numbers. Could you please post them and the formulas used so others could understand your data. The data and the formulas that comprise the AV measure can be found in the book I mentioned above. It can be purchased at Amazon.

I'm sorry, but Garcia has been TRASH this season. I had the biggest hard-on for him after his playoff performance, knocked down big shots, defended Durant very well and overall was a net positive for the team. His play this season has been bad, and now people are advocating putting him in as a starter?

I would like to point out that Shumpert put up 25 the previous night against one of the best teams and defenses in the NBA - the Spurs. Every dog has his day and when it is that day a NBA player can make it rain points.

Also the Knicks went 2-1 in a swing through Texas. With Chandler back they certainly are a much better team.
