Here is what I don't get. Reports say that Hakeem wants to do what it "best for the team". How does waiving him, so we can continue to pay his salary and he can sign with another team, help us? It is more like Hakeem want us to do what is best for him. This is really starting to frustrate me and I love Hakeem.

I don't think Dream wants to be the focal point.

Francis said that "Dream demands his touches. However, many times when Rudy calls his plays, he gives up the ball. He willingly passes to any teammate.

So I beg to ask. How many bad shots does Mobley need a night while he develops?

I would also be pissed if Bullard was getting more 4th period playing time than me.

I think Hakeem knows that he can't be the focal point anymore. He also knows that he is still extremely capable of making huge contributions to the team. The Rockets need a low post presence. He has been right to demand the ball now and then. What would you rather have if we were down 1 with 8 secods left? A Mobley fadeaway brick, or an Hakeem Jump Hook/Dream shake. I think I would go with the reliable shot that has worked for 17 years.
Anyway, that isn't my point. Hakeem needs minutes. 1st quarter, 3rd quarter, and all of the fourth quarter. Bullard needs to be reduced to his old role of 10 minutes a game, as does Moochie. Like most good teams, the starters should play most of the game. This absolutely includes Dream. Rudy needs to get him involved, and the Rockets will be contenders.

    Exactly !!!

Waiving Dream does nothing to help this team. He is not going to give up his salary is he?

Hakeem, suck it up like a man, and contribute, instead of complain.

Rudy, Give Hakeem a chance to help, let him play a bigger role, it can only help the young guys learn how to win faster.

For the last 2-3 years, everyone kept posting about how Hakeem has lost his fire and doesn't care about winning.

Now the man wants to play and we have this mess.

    Pretty damn ironic.

    3Rings,

I agree that he HAS lost some of his fire, and he probably would play HARDER somewhere else.

My only point is that he is signed, and Hakeem OWES the Rockets this year. Hakeem should honor his contract, the organization does not benefit ONE iota by waiving him.

Play him, and see what he has left.

I will bask in a little bit of self indulgence.

I think Rudy and Dream FINALLY had that talk, and Rudy has decided to let DREAM play, and add him to the game plan.

I have said all along, he never wanted to be the focal point, just wanted to contribute.

Is it that they talked or that Dream has come to the realization that his Dream of getting to Miami was not likely to come true and to make the best of the situation?

Hakeem said he had a good talk with Rudy and they cleared the air, and Rudy is no utilizing the low post game.

I think Hakeem can do this every night, but the Rockets need to get him his touches to get his rythmn going.

DaDakota certainly deserves to bask. I for one never thought we'd ever see a game like NY from Hakeem. Seriously, I don't think I've seen a half like that from him for 2 years, at least.

But for you to infer that someone does not know the Dream, because they didn't start a particular thread is ludicrous. [IMG]
