If the Texans bring in Kaepernick I will not watch them, I will not give them one red penny, and I will boycott as many companies that sponsor them as I possibly can.
He should definitely be in the discussion! I feel better that he's at least being discussed. As I've said before, Romo has been hurt the past 3yrs AND he's 37 yrs old!!! I'm not sure what people are not getting about this. But if he were in his earlier 30's and coming off one injured season, I would be more incline to take a chance. Kaepernick is younger, has gone to a Super Bowl and has had success! He had an injury in 2015, came into a new system in 2016 and still was better than anything we had last year.
It's not a matter of being Black or White, Republican, Democrat or Independent......IT'S FOOTBALL AND A MATTER OF WIN OR LOSES
I do love that we essentially have a Kap version of a Lin fan in here. Just hammering home yet another reason why it is good there's no way he'll ever play here. Let someone else deal with that nonsense.
Compared to the tape he saw on Brock, after he was placed on the bench in Denver, I seriously doubt he said that.
Yup, that's pretty much what happened. When you get asked about a FA QB and the first thing you say is that you feel good about the QB's you have already and the only thing you really say about that QB is "he can run".....yeah it's pretty clear that they have no interest in him whatsoever.
No Vick or Kap or Young in Houston Bob not letting thay happen unless they want to play cornerback... remember that?
It's no showing the video, but if it's saying the same thing quoted above, that's actually saying they aren't interested.
Kap is too concerned with things during football season that have nothing to do with football so I feel like Kap would change BOB from QB whisperer to QB murderer. Personally I want my QB to care only about QB'ing during football season because that's what it takes to be elite.
ProFootballTalk O'Brien, Texans considering adding Kaepernick Bill O'Brien admits that the Texans have given some thought to Colin Kaepernick and gave plenty of praise to the free agent quarterback. NFL Interview
Yeah, that's just the video of him saying what was mentioned before, it's damning with faint praise. When asked about Kap the first thing he talks about is that they are happy with Savage and Weeden and pretty much the only thing he says about Kap is that he can run and that he had good coaches. That's about as close as you're ever going to get to a head coach saying that a free agent sucks.
Sounds like a valid interest to me. I'm glad, even if they don't sign him, at least they surveyed the field and not just set back and waited for Romo
When I say damning with faint praise, it's similar to if someone was asking me about how good the steak is at a local steakhouse and the first thing I talked about was about how I really liked how the steaks at different restaurants tasted and then went on to say how that steakhouse has a nice looking building and that they have good drink specials. Would your take from that be that I thought highly of the steak at that steakhouse?
I originally thought about typing up a huge essay on why I think Kaep sucks bootyjuice but then I realized he isnt worth the effort. If Texans sign him, I will put my fan card away for as long as he is our starter. NEXT!
Would be hilarious if they added him just to see the insane levels of crying from the hillbillies and bros around town. Don't think he offers much at qb but if they can't get anyone else he would be fine as a backup to Savage while whichever rookie they draft develops.
