yea, I was just referring to OP's question. It would make more sense to ask why didn't we go for those 2 yards, than for 2 point conversion, which was 2 risky, n Bill absolutely did the right thing by doing the PAT. I agree with @Bobby on 2 point conversion scenarios.
Going for 2 after the "tying" touchdown is so stupid. Making the 2-pt conversion guarantees nothing. Missing that 2-pt conversion is a guaranteed loss. If you can't see that then stick to basketball. Now the 3rd and 2 and 4th and 2 in OT, that's a different story. Not sure I would have gone for it on 4th but I did not like the 3rd and 2 call. I think BOB screwed that call up. Should have been Arian to the left or play action Arian left with Fitz rolling out right for a naked boot or pass. At that point you only needed about 15-20 yards for a possible FG attempt and then you trust your D to get a stop.
we did, throwing the ball on 3 n 2 was the worst thing to do, n maybe we should of went for it on 4th down. We were in Cowboys territory, if i remember correctly, but its easy to be smart after the fact.
Gurantees that if you're going to win or lose, your defense, special teams, AND offense all have a potential say in the matter... vs. just one play by your goal-line offense, on a short-field, with a high risk situation that doesn't guarantee a win with success, but guarantees a loss with failure.
In hindsight nothing, however we won the toss and had the opportunity to score a TD and have Dallas never touch the ball. It played out perfectly for us we just didn't take advantage of the opportunity. The key is we had the opportunity due to extra pt and winning the coin toss. Go for 2 and miss, never get that opportunity. Donny you're risk assessment and risk management is poor.
it made no sense not to give arian the ball twice there. if arian was gassed, CALL A FREAKING TIME OUT, and then run 3rd and maybe 4th down.
The idea was to catch the defense looking for a run play so that you could burn them with an easy pass. It didn't work. It happens.
Didn't we have someone in motion? Perhaps I just remember it incorrectly. Either way, I'd have run the ball there, but that doesn't mean it was the right thing to do.
arian was lined up as a WR. BOB spread everyone out and said "we're throwing the ball". such crap play calling. didn't expect that out of him.
Whoa!!!!!!! Didn't realize that. Very, very foolish. You gotta at least have the threat of a run. Damn we f'd this game up.
