Thats like putting molding cheese in the dish you spent hours working on for dinner just because you got it on sale. Most cheap things don't have real value - maybe symbolic value(like the Lakers signing Bronny), maybe value in 'checking a box', but definitely not real value on/off the court.
Alex Len, Christian Wood, Mo Bamba, Daniel Theis...Center buyout options are nothing to write home about. Although Wood TS% was career best 62.4 with Luka + Mavs. And before anyone asks, Wood still rehabbing from knee injury + has not played all season for LAL.
Remember when Christian Wood forced Shaq to apologize to him and say that he wasn't familiar with his game? I guess at some point, Shaq should take back that apology. Wood wasn't someone worth being familiar with.

I’m assuming there is a reason he’s being waived. We need shooting and maybe a 4/5 if Şengün is out. But not that desperate.
Yeah, there’s definitely a reason he’s being waived. The same reason 10 other teams let him go previously. I don’t know what took so long for the Lakers, TBH.
Reason he’s waived is because he’s likely out for the season with an injury that he’s had for all of this year.
And that he is terrible. Not from a skills standpoint, but as a teammate and as an effective NBA player.
