That's a really serious post We move through subjects like headless chickens I mean mind boggling comic stardom was such an issue Such a random ass subject
The other issue is Hollywood makes the effort to be equitable. They are very supportive of black causes
Sorry for pouncing on thread. I have no problem with the movie. Iust rehashed old thread. I do think it's sad some feel the need to match everything white people have, it delves into meaningless things. Schools are important. marvel comic movies aren't. Why does something like that makes us unhappy You will never know a marvel comic hero actor
We aren't moving forward. We have to move out of this stage of finding racial disparity in everything Nobody is at marvel saying we will never have a black star segregation forever We are the ones not moving forward on racial harmony.
The first statement is irrelevant in that less than 10% of any demographic is engaging in violent criminal activity, and the outcomes there and in school are shaped by individual choices and priorities. You might need to just bite the bullet and go to grad school to wipe your hard drive. I've categorically avoided comic book movies for the whole last decade-and-a-half, yet your second attribution is still ridiculous because it's a movie, all different kinds of people watch it, and like blacks, for no other reason than to decompress for two hours.
RR You seem like a very nice guy. Would not care if you thought of us as we So stop posting that tired ish The point is the movie doesn't represent any progress on any level. We are acting like it's some achievement.
Of course it represents progress. There are simply not a lot of movies and TV shows featuring predominantly black characters or even a lead character. The more movies and TV shows that show a wide audience, the more studio execs will green light projects featuring minority casts and leads. Minorities and women have tough times in Hollywood because they don't have the track record that white men do. Jordan Peele probably opened some more doors for black filmmakers with Get Out. Black Panther shows a black cast can carry a movie to huge worldwide profits.
White holes? Whitesmiths? Whiteballed? Whiteberries? Whitelisted? Whitemail? Whitejack? I never knew I was so oppressed.
Black people have been starting in movies since at least the eighties You don't know any black movie stars There have even been black comic hero We are talking about one studio who isn't obligated to star a black That being said Hale Berry was Storm a long time ago Hollywood is pure entertainment and the bottom line is the bottom line. Considering that reality blacks have done well in lala land
