He was the 6th man on a Clippers team that went to the playoffs and actually advanced, unheard of for the Clippers at the time. His future did look bright. How people are high on Eric Bledsoe now, Livingston showed more flashes then. Though he was injury prone from day 1, the definition of fragile body. He wasnt gonna be the next Magic or Penny anyway, but he coulda been a better decent player for a contending team. Right now he's just an adequate bench guy. But him even playing NBA level ball is a credit to his hard work. Pretty much, I can't look at it. Some a-holes on youtube who always have to ruin things, they sneak clips of it in mix vids like a prank, or pass it off like some lame "road to recovery" theme. So I don't try to watch his mix vids.
ha. don't watch it. it's really disturbing. he was one of my favourite player before injury, he had so much potential.
He's not what he could have been, but I remember watching him play us this year and he still had good moves and quickness. I think he's just waiting for another chance for significant minutes and don't mind him as a backup option at this point. If we can bring Llull over, forget it. Waive him.
I remember everyone was saying how courtney showed so much promise in this same damned forum, and how he was at least better than johnny flynn.
Reynolds: Livingston still in flux after trade By DAVE REYNOLDS (dreynolds@pjstar.com) of the Journal Star I caught up with Shaun Livingston on Thursday, the day after Peoria’s only current NBA player was traded from the Milwaukee Bucks to the Houston Rockets. The former Peoria High all-stater didn’t want to say much about the deal and where he fits just yet, primarily because he’s not sure what lies ahead in the next few days. “We’ll talk once the dust settles,” he said. “I’m not sure where I’ll end up. Houston’s in flux right now trying to build its team. With the draft (Thursday night) and the moves they’re making, a lot can change.” Wednesday’s trade, which sent Livingston, forward Jon Leuer and the draft’s No. 12 pick to Houston for center Samuel Dalembert and the No. 14 draft spot, was the second deal in as many days for the Rockets. Houston, which did not make the playoffs this past season, stood to gain more talent in the draft, owning the 12th, 16th and 18th picks as of mid-afternoon Thursday. Considering the club’s goal of trading for a top-notch center such as Dwight Howard or Pau Gasol, much more maneuvering is likely, including the possibility of dealing guys they’ve just acquired. If Livingston sticks with the Rockets, it will be his seventh NBA team since being drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers in 2004. Six of those stops have come since re-starting his career following a horrific knee injury five years ago in his last game as a Clipper. Look for an in-depth visit with Livingston soon in this space once his immediate future comes into sharper focus. http://www.pjstar.com/sports/x1660541322/Reynolds-Livingston-still-in-flux-after-trade
He's a good kid, but hes not gonna stick. His injury was gruesome and it's a near miracle he is playing in the NBA again, but he should probably go to Europe and lock up a long term contract for his own best interest
