    Agreed.

Now if it was the Mavs, I always hope they fall flat on their faces. Their fans (see Dallas-Mavs.com), and fans around DFW are just unbearable at times. They cling to that Finals thing and believe they are the champions.

I respect the Spurs and San Antonio. If the Rockets are out, it's Go Spurs for me.

This is such b.s., do either of you remember when David Robinson held up Hakeem's MVP at center court? How they've dominated us since 1998?

Maxwell hated the Spurs so therefore I shall follow...

have you been to a spurs game? its in the middle of nowhere, there's nothing around there to walk to. For God sakes, even at the Summit you could walk across the Edloe Bridge and grab a burger etc. There's nothing around ATT Center whatever place they play at.

Well, if three black guys in the outfield called themselves the "black brigade" or something like that, it would be fine. If an all-white outfield called themselves the "white winners," there would be a problem.

If the three white outfielders called the three black outfielders the "black brigade," ---- would hit the fan. If the three black outfielders called the white outfielders the "white winners," there would be no problem at all. They could even call them something derogatory like the "Honky Hustlers" and get away with it.

I don't understand why black people can joke about any race they want and they get a stand-up comedy special on HBO. While if I were to say "hey what's up brotha" to a black guy, I stand a good chance of having to remove a size 12 Jordan low-top from my ass.

    There is the double standard.

We hate the Spurs but have a certain amount of respect for the way they play.

The Mavs and Jazz on the other hand is a different story.

I don't hate the Spurs or former Spurs players either. Had we signed Matt Harpring, Andre Kirilenko, or Mehmet Okur, it would take a lot of time to get over that. Actually, I don't even know if I could get over that.

(I'd be OK with Deron Williams though). :)

I figured you would pull that. There's always that crutch.

But basically, what you are saying is there is a double standard because of slavery and Jim Crowe laws?

But I thought you said there was no double standard?

i'm saying you b****ing because blacks get to make fun of whites (a dubious complaint to begin with) is ridiculous

I don't need to make fun of other races or my own. I love everyone. Including you, pgabriel.

I'm simply pointing out the fact that there is a double standard.

You do admit there is a double standard, right?

the obama thing really sums up the problem with your "double standard" issue. I wish black comedians wouldn't make fun of white, but in the long run people don't give a flying flip about what some unknown comedian on def comedy jam says......about anything

He aint upset about that. It is irritating that blacks can give it but can't take it. That is his point. I don't give a **** if someone makes a joke about a white stereotype. However just relax and giggle when it is your turn to receive it.

    double standard?

Comedians are paid to poke fun at things that normally people aren't comfortable talking about. Yeah...i've heard just as many big penis/bad credit/hip hop culture jokes as i have bad dancing jokes. It happens.
