Why Morey should make a trade sooner rather than later

    Too many collapses, happens every game. And you mean to tell me someone like Iggy wouldn't make them better?

    Fist of all, Rockets still would have some cap room after resign Scola and Lowry.

    Second, I'm all for trading for Bosh. But Toronto doesn't seem to be ready to do that at this moment.

    So, Yao + Lowry + Scola + some cap room is better than Iggy + Yao +Dalembert(a 12 million waste at center position) + risk of losing Scola and Lowry.

    Iggy and Dalembert would make this team better in a short term, but they are not good enough to take Rockets to contender level this year.

    Iggy+Dalemebert's contract kills the chance of further improvement of the team next season, maybe beyound. Rockets might lose Scola or Lowry because of that.

    The only way the Rockets lose Scola or Lowry is if THEY chose not to resign them. They can trade for both Iggy and Dalembert and still make an offer to both Scola and Landry. They'll have to pay LT but that's there option.

    That's the key here. With more than 30mil at center position(Yao, Dalembert, Andersen, Hayes), I think this team will be ill-consturcted. I don't believe Les would want to go over LT for that.

    Iggy is not a superstar but he is a very good player. A much better player than the Rockets' will be able to get with the $7 milliion dollars they'll have available by not making a trade at all.

    It's for 1 year and then guess what? Dalembert becomes another big expiring contract available for them to trade next year. Even easier to trade because it's not as big as T-Mac's.

    The problem is both Iggy and Dalembert will make around 12 mil next year. That's 24mil. You'd expect a superstar in that.

    At that time you already lost Scola or Lowry because of LT, maybe both because of that 24mil.

    Why? If you know anything about Alexander you should know that he's willing to pay that LT if it makes the team better. Adding Iggy makes the team better.

    Last I checked, the Superstars Lebron, Wade, and Bosh will command $20 million plus, not $12 million.

    Anyone that the Rockets can trade for that can put Ariza on the bench automatically makes them better.
