Honestly Kobe (pick any of his seasons) wouldn't have gotten past the Knicks during the first threepeat. In fact, MSG would have buried Kobe's remains underneath the visitors' lockerroom after Oakley, Mason, and Derek Harper got through with him.

I'll let it go after you tell me how Kobe's supporting cast was better than Jordan's. State your case and I'll be done with you and this failure of a thread.

Did you not see the question marks? they were questions, not compairsons lol. dude your like fox news. Your talking over me. I feel like I have been violated by bill o'reilly lol. I dont want to compare individual stats b/w kobe and MJ because its been done 1328492348 times in other posts. I just noticed how most dynasties include a dominant big man. Except for Jordan. Now that doesnt mean he didnt have a great team, but its just what I noticed.

And by the way, I am curious as to what your blood pressure runs. Your motor is running on high my friend. lol

First 3 - Shaq in his prime by himself is more a threat than Pippen, Grant, and Kukoc. He demands that much attention. agree or disagree?

Second 2 - Gasol, Odom (who you could is somewhat skilled like pippen....only when he feels like though), bynum, and throw in fisher (for flops)......I think that is better than Pippen, Kukoc, and Rodman.

haha those knicks teams were pretty tough but lets not act like they didn't lock down Jordan pretty well in that 93 series and the Bulls supporting cast was still strong enough to be able to pull it off. If Kobe shot as bad in a series as Jordan did against those 93 Knicks we wouldn't hear the end of it. But since it was Jordan he gets away with. Kobe is no Jordan to me but honestly he has it a lot rougher from the media aspect than Jordan ever did. Kobe shoots 29 shots and he is being selfish while Jordan was taking 40 plus back then and everybody kept cheering. Plus Kobe is a tough player. I have no doubt the guy could play back in the days when the game was a lot more physical and I don't think the knicks or the msg fans would've intimidated him.

Yeah, he had a bad center, but how many did he face up and won against Hakeem, against Shaq (95 playoffs and lost) or robinson? you cant say he won it because he dominated those big men.

and btw Im not defending kobe, just saying that MJ didnt won because of that, he won beacuse he had a great team and he rarely played in a NBA finals against a great big man.

kobe can have 10 rings when he retires and he still wouldn't be better than jordan.

i don't think a lot of people watched jordan. it isn't even close.

The last two replies nailed it.

    Hand-checking...

    And

Lack of experience actually watching Jordan...

The teams and championships are moot...

Has one person in this thread said Kobe is better then Jordan? Or are they just defending his accomplishments?

one of the reasons why jordan did so well IMO without a post presence is because jordan's post up game was one of the best, regardless of size or position. he had many moves, and PJ would have jordan posting up with pippen or one of the sharpshooters out by the 3pt. line.

it just worked, the triangle and jordan. he made it work, and he dominated. yes, jordan is in his own category, GOAT.

how many championships would drexler have won if he had shaq?

Funny to me that most folx hates Kobe's arrogant attitude and overall douchery.

    When
By most accounts MJ was as big a douche as Kobe. Maybe even more so.
<I think his Hall of Fame Speech was a bit fo that>

He was just better at hiding it .. . for economic/commercial value

I hate both Kobe and MJ. The greatest ever is Hakeem.
