Incase you didnt notice, this season has been lead by Steve Francis, sometimes called the Franchise. 02/03 the Rockets played a Guard Oriented Game not a Center Oriented Game . Therefore you are incorrect to make the statement quoted above! If we are to make an analysis of this season we must be accurate.

The easiest number for you to figure it out, who occupied the ball more? Isn't that your beloved selfish PG?

Look at what you just said, "we need to build around our two best players...Francis AND Yao." and then you say " as long as SF/Mobes are here, we will always be playing a dumbass game" I dont get it.

This isn't an either Francis or Yao issue. You need both. Center and point guard are the two most difficult positions to fill and the Rockets have managed to fill both with players of immense talent.

The Rockets need to build the chemistry between Yao and Francis. Much of that will entail beefing up Yao and working on his conditioning and explosiveness (please let this guy make the offseason program and training camp!) as well as working with Francis on his passing efficiency and decision making.

Very simple.. Mavs build around the three shooters.. Dirk can't
dominate in the Paint.. the same as Kings doesn't has a Axis like
Lakers and Spurs have an Axis to build around. and it's better
to have an Axis for the system. and the system can has more changes from the Axis.

I don't think you can say this was a guard oriented team for the second half of the year. I'd say at least 60 to 70 percent of the time, we post Yao and or Mo T.
