Well, he still shot 40% from down town and with the exception of Martin and Lee, everyone pretty much sucked too. Not a good game to go by when the entire team was sucking.
A bad game for Lowry even though he hit a couple 3s later. It happens to everybody. Rockets actually misses Yao in this game more than anyone else, not AB.
The game isn't all about shooting. Lowry does everything else better. In fact, Lowry's TS% is very comparable to Brooks' (.536 vs .539).
It was a bad game from a shooting perspective for Lowry. We shouldn't get too high or too low from his good/bad performances though. What really did them in was Scola going 4-13 and Battier being unable to hit any of the threes that we've come to expect of him lately. That said, there is no way that Lowry should be taking 15 shots a game. He led the team in shots tonight (although Martin clearly had the most touches, as seen by his FGA + FTs) -- that's not his game. Brooks is the scorer, Lowry is the distributor. That said, I'd guess that about 4 - 5 of Lowry's shots were not 'real' shots.. in the sense that he threw them up there thinking he was going to get the foul call but never got it. Regardless, I'd like to see him lower on the totem pole as far as FGA.
It didn't look "broke" when he was keeping his team in the game late. I guess Scola should be on the bench too since his jumper was "broke"tonight as well.
yea sure if u want to bench our only star.....u guys are stupid if you think Lowry is better than Brooks Lowry is what he is a spark plug OFF THE BENCH...Brooks was the starter on a playoff team Brooks led this team to a winning record without an all-star Brooks won an NBA award at the end of the year PLAIN STUPID
he started on a team that went to the 2nd round of playoffs and took the champs that year to 7 games...how quickly we forget
I agree that we miss him badly. But the fact that he was on that team doesn't really mean that much.. it was a completely different team. That team actually played defense.
I stopped reading after this. This is HILARIOUS. I am still trying to decide if you are just trolling Lowry supporters or not. AB is far from a star. He is about as star caliber as Nate Robinson. If he was a star, Morey would extend his contract instead of telling us they are always looking to trade for a star player. You are a funny guy man. I haven't laughed since the end of tonight's game. Thanks for the LULZ!
That is still funny then. Scola is not a star and his contract reflects that. I am truly grateful for Scola, though I would still take Bosh over him as a high post player.
Maybe we could examine Lowrys effectiveness when we play top ten defenses and see if his production is for real.
Lets do the same for Brooks as well. It's a given that neither player will be nearly as effective when they play top 10 defenses.
