Honestly, I've always believed it doesn't matter who starts but who finishes. Saying that, if the team takes off a bit and Lowry continues to play well...not so clear cut IMHO.
Well, to some of us, it has always been nothing more than an inevitability. More of just "Here we go."
No one will be sadder than me if Lowry has developed a 3 point shot. It will make him less efficient. I want him penetrating, dishing, and finishing.
Not me. This could turn out to be his worst game of the season if he continues to take more three point shots instead of penetrating and dishing.
Nope just an observation. If Lowry plays like this against D. Rose tomorrow. I will be elated and shocked. Lowry hates that Memphis chose Conley over him and he brings it every game against them to show them they made a mistake.
Lowry needs to shoot more. If he can do it efficiently, he is a starter. If he can not, he is a bench player.
I remember Rafer having some stretches like this. But kidding aside, Kyle is finally living up to his contract. This is good for the team we don't need to rush Brooks and once he gets back we are going back to having the best PG rotation of the NBA. He don't need to be taken that many 3's, but the great thing right now is that he is finishing around the basket like he use to do. now we need Chase to get out of his mental funk and we will be back to having one of the deepest team in the NBA.
The real reason is because AB+KM doesn't work....since last season till the 0-5, they had a losing record together.
They were paired together with the idea of playing off Yao. They have played a grand total of 2 games with him?
Last year and summer time i was always against Lowry starting and wanted to see Brooks as the starter. BUT, at this point, it looks like Lowry is a pretty damn good starter. We dont need him to shoot the ball that much. He's not a great shooter, but neither was Rafer Alston when he was playing point - and we played pretty well with Rafer in the lineup. We dont need multiple shooters around Yao (once he comes back) cuz we have Martin and Battier. Say what you will about Battier, but I think his offense will also get better once Yao comes back. Brooks would be able to provide instant offense with Miller and Budinger off the bench. And offensively, that's our weakness IMO. We don't have bench players that can create. Either way, i'd be ok with either one starting, but right now, I'd like to see Lowry continue to start..
