No, my main argument is his lack of shooting ability and his reliance on the referees are both exploitable weaknesses, but... we need them both !!!!!!!

If Kyle is the starter we will get Rafer like defenses that leave him wide open and pack the paint for Yao and Luis......once Kyle is scouted and has to play against starters, I think he would seriously struggle like he did in the playoffs 2 years ago.

Kyle is a much better defender, again, why we need them both.....when one is struggling go to the other one.

Kyle is not that great of a distributor in the half court, a good percentage of his assists come in transition and in early offense situations....if they sag off of Kyle and pack the paint they also hurt Kmart, which is why a Kmart and Brooks pairing is better....more weapons....overall.

Look as I have consistently said, we need them both....and when they both struggle we are just going to lose.....

They both struggled against Denver......and we lost....

We need both of their skillsets, and whomever is playing the best will play the most....

My money (read opinion) is that will be Brooks.......

    We shall see...

Can't shoot or distribute enough (think Rondo) to offset the poor shooting, which will allow teams to sag off him and double where ever. How can you as an NBA player not be able to shoot when that is the one thing you can do all day by yourself.

Kyle would be close to allstar with AB's jump shot. He kepts chucking them up and we all moan whenever he shoots.

    Let's have a friendly wager.

I have faith that, given our current lineup, the coaching staff will eventually make the necessary change. Benefiting the whole team, Brooks included. It just makes too much sense to me.

But I might be wrong though.

So, If Brooks isn't replaced as the starter at any point during the season(non-injury related) I will go on a 2 month posting moratorium.

If he is, you go on a mere 1 week hiatus.

What do you say? Put your keyboard where your mouth is.

    DEAL OR NO DEAL?!

Mine too. AB drew his ticket out of town when he went public with his desire for an extension.

I want in on that! You're not going to convince DD unless you show him. I too feel that a change will be made soon.

I am not sure I could take that bet, though it is way skewed in my favor....I am not sure I have the willpower to avoid the powerful toxins that are Clutchfans.

    Interesting.

A very cleverly disguised "bet on your pride and knowledge" proposal.

Adelman ranks O first before D. Thus AB ranks first before KL.

    Makes cents.

It would be good for you DD. You deserve a breather from this place more than any of us. Wait.. or is it the other way around?

And if you win, I will personally apologize for the audacity and stupidity of my opinion as a going away post before the moratorium.

The bet itself is clearly skewed in your favor as you've noted. It's really a win/win, if you think about it.

Take the bet, DD. Show your willpower. Don't let ClutchFans become your heroine.

What if Brooks is traded does that count as the coaching staff making a change? and if he is traded then who wins the bet?

Until, Lowry develops a decent jumper he will not be starting and doesn't deserve to. With that said, I don't think Lowry will develop any semblance of a decent shot and if he does start over AB at some point this season I don't think it will be permanent. I think they may try him starting but if they do they will ultimately bring AB back as a starter because of Lowry's shooting deficiency.

I think simply trying Lowry at the starting position because we are doing so poorly will not last. Therefore, I am willing to make you a counteroffer to your bet: I bet that Lowry will not start over Brooks (non-injury related) for more than 15 consecutive games this season. If you're so confident that they are going to make Lowry the permanent starter over Brooks and it is the right decision then it should be an easy bet for you.

probably should since that was the rational DD said was used to give Brooks the starting job in the first place..trading away Rafer since Rafer couldnt handle being benched

I disagree, any trade means that we got better, I am not against trading Brooks, just want a better player in return.

I remember when everyone was talking about calderon being the next steve nash when he replaced. Now, they cant give him away and jack took most of his minutes. Lowry couldnt beat out conley and he cant beat out brooks, but everyone likes to see the 20 minute burst of plays. Go look at his production when he got a chance to start.

I think alot of people are saying theywant defense and well Lowry plays better defense. I think Lowry and martin make some sense. Only now it makes Battier and Lowry kind of a liability a little on the floor at the same time. Wish we had more balanced players.

So if Brooks gets benched for anything not related to injury/suspension then you win or does it have to be a semi-permanent thing.

I would be more surprised to see it permanent than I would to see it for a game or two to try and shake things up.
