Heh, I missed on those two for sure......no one ever brings up the wins.....but...I really liked Fizer a lot....

Got a little too excited about Langhi.....lol.

Oh well.....exceptions that prove the rule, most of the guys I like turn out to be pretty good.

But I do tend to jump on the band wagon a weee bit too early on some guys.

    ;)

Let's hope Chase turns out good and Blake Griffin turns into a Hall of famer....cause that is what DaDaCayce sees in his Crystal ball.

Don't feel too bad about Fizer. IMO, Tim Floyd absolutely ruined Fizer's career. Drafting the most dominant post player in the NCAA and immediately trying to convert him into a penetrating 3 was one the alltime stupid moves I've seen. After that, he just got caught in #s games. He was supposed to be with the Rox a number of times...came close to signing a # of times...but due to guaranteed contracts just never did materialize.

As for BGriff, if you remember my signature from this offseason it was "Blake Griffin:HOF talent". I'm standing by that one still, as he has a phenomenal skillset and great motor to complement it.

One last thing on Rubio...I do hope he learns to seek and absorb contact as his body matures. He doesn't have Francis-ian athleticism, but could end up with similar size. I'd like to see the Nash handle with the Francis fearlessness. If that happens, he'll be a "generational" type of player. Without it, he may risk developing into a taller, defensively adept "White Chocolate" (great vision, balance and handles, but not a franchise cornerstone).

That he is on his way to being a very good starting PG.

Perhaps he thinks Ellis would be a better fit than Brooks? Just because he thinks Brooks is on his way to being a good PG doesnt mean he is the ultimate 1 for the Rockets

Of course I did, Monta Ellis is better than Brooks, and Brooks is better than Lowry.

    Next !

Brooks is a better what? Shooter?

    Lowry is a better passer.
    Lowry is a better defender.
    Lowry is a better rebounder.
    Lowry is a better 'PG'.

There's really no debating that. The question is whether Lowry is best utilized off the bench with the 2nd unit

Brooks is a better fit with a starting lineup that includes Shane Battier and Chuck Hayes.

Hence my question about Lowry being better utilized off the bench vs. starting. That said, I don't think there's any question Lowry is better in the 'PG' sense.

Yes, I like the trio off the bench of Lowry, Landry, and Budinger. They all play well together and bring a nice change of pace. Andersen is starting to come on as well.

A perfect example tonight, Aaron had a monster offensive game but the offense basically broke down when he is in the game, the entire fourth quarter, we could not generate a quality look in the half court.

    It's not that simple.

It's also the fact that Lowry replaces one of the other offensively inept wings when he's in with Brooks.

I agree that Lowry is a better player than Brooks but it's the combination of Brooks/Lowry that is a better option than Brooks + any of those other wings.

If you put Lowry in without Brooks and along with Ariza, Battier, Landry and Hayes, you would eventually see similar struggles because of the offensive ineptitude of 3/5ths of the lineup.

Again, I agree that Lowry is the superior overall player but it's more than just Lowry instead of Brooks. It's more like Lowry instead of Ariza or Battier.

They doubled Aaron Brooks during the whole 4th quarter. The man guarding Chuck just left him whenever Chuck wasn't in the paint.

Landry was stopped. Battier couldn't make a shot. Ariza was injured.

It was Brooks playing 1 man offense.

I agree. I've noticed the offense still bogs down when Lowry is in the game with Battriza and Hayes. The reality is we need a real shooting guard. The starters are not cutting it and it is very painful watching them play.

this team needs a trade. its obvious there are only 3 weapons, (landry, lowry, brooks) 1 gets injured we cant beat ANYBODY.

yao is probably going to spend atleast half of next season trying to get in shape, then by the time he is in shape we better hope he is as quick as he was last year (not going to happen)

we are playing 2 on 5. even if we had butler or iggy we'd be playing 3 on 5 instead of 2 on 5. we need iggy, yao, and another small forward (im not sold on budinger, ariza or battier)
