Regardless of who shot the ball they should have gone for a quick 2 with about 30 seconds still on the clock at that time. The desiscion making at the end was poor.
i wonder if any of you would criticize him if that shot had gone in? what if it was t-mac who missed that final shot? wesley took that shot because he made a big one at the same spot only a few minutes earlier. so it was reasonable for him to have the confidence to nail it again. tough luck.
That's a tick-tacky technical. I would have been pissed if I was a Sixers fan and they called that on us. It's not like he was obstructing the view.
It was unlikely that the shot would go in - and it didn't. TMac's allowed to take shots like that because he's very, very good - Wesley's previous shot did not come after a pump fake - he was set and wide open. Wesley has to know his role in that situation, the only time you shoot the ball is if you are wide, wide wide open or if the clock leaves you no choice. Also, technically that should have been a T - but it would've been a horse**** tech. If they called that on the Rockets, I would be very upset.
I know you say that, but the last time the Lakers played the NOK Hornets in OKC, JR Smith just stood up off the bench and yelled while devean george took a shot in front of him in an almost identical manner, and JR was called for a technical. It amazes me the calls that are passed on with this team
Bill Worrell on SR610 earlier today also couldn't believe DW didn't get the ball to T-Mac or Yao...he was very frank and is always an excellent interview that's worthy of your time. Did someone cap that interview by any chance for those who missed it?
