I have a feeling Mobley is going to be the best player of this draft, but it's just a guess. Not even the best scouts or GMs knows how most draftees will develop in 3 or 4 years. This reminds me of the 2014 draft. Embid, Wiggins & Parker were as highly regarded (if not higher) than Cade, Mobley & Green in this draft. They weren't quite LeBron, Shaq, AD level prospects, but they were close Tonight, the Rockets, Pistons & Cavs are just hoping their pick becomes more like Embid than Wiggins or worst Parker.
Beasley, Derrick Williams, Greg Oden, Anthony Benett.... There are easily more bust big men than guards. I get you like Mobley but just like the people who kept claiming it's a guard's league when it wasnt dont say bigs rarely bust 2 way or 1 way. Just look at the draft Mobley is the only big man prospect in the top 10 thats cuz the other big men have high bust potential which lowered their draft stock.
yeah it's funny people get so arrogant in their predictions. Truth is, we have like 1 year of data of these 18 year olds. It's quite difficult to extrapolate much information based on the few games they played. Every year top 3 draft picks on the consensus big board gets so much hype, and people make ridiculous predictions that they are for sure things. I think the draft is a crap shoot, it's actually rare for teams to deviate from the majority, you just have to hope the consensus picks turn out great. I would be much more impressed by posters here if they make predictions about a 15th-30th pick in the draft to become a super star like Giannis or Jokic. It's easy to be high and mighty about picking between Green and Mobley, at the end of the day you have 50% chance of getting it right, any idiot can make that coin flip prediction.
Why is he eating a bowl? Grab that young man a tortilla immediately!! Definitely needs the burrito in his life. More burritos. Perhaps we can interest him in some chicken strips and Grey Poupon.
Nothing like comps to year 7 AD for Mobley while viewing highlights of him doing those things against UC Irving, Montana or California Baptist.
