That's exactly how people lose their money in cryptomarkets. Not cutting losses means 1- An 80% probability of not moving on, i.e. staying a play-in team 2- Giving Green a big fat contract 3- Inability to make moves because of said contract. (20% by the way - that's very generous.)
I think in basketball, you have to swing for the fences because staying in no man's land is probably the worst position to be in the NBA. I'm happy to roll the dice with Green and pray he works it out than trade him and pretty much be locked into mediocrity for the long term. I will say that obviously if Green's play remains more or less the same and he asks for a large contract, it would be a franchise crippling decision to give it to him.
We still have the ability to make a trade. Lots of assets and there's probably a gm out there that thinks they can fix Green.
Is he still the core, while Alpi needs to figure out if he can fit in? Unfortunately went 9-25 tonight, so that we almost lost to the most clueless team ever, which was without its best player.
Obviously there are more teams stacked with assets but there are probably teams who hold Green to a high value. I'm in the minority but if someone was interested in Whitmore I'd listen
Well most have a better future than Green at the moment. I just don't see it. All the same red flags are still there
One game tells me nothing right now, basically Cam has no value as well, you have to build up value to get something back.... How do you think he went from being a projected 5th pick to being 20th pick? The red flags were basically his health and his supposed bad conduct.....I do not see either right now....he looks healthy to me. And he is not throwing anyone under the bus.... It is really that simple.
That is what they say about 90% of NBA players coming into the league, I am not worried. Young players go for stats only and older players are more grateful to be on a team.....we have heard that before. That is why I always wanted to draft more 22 year old players but got shot down because of the so called 'Ceiling`.... The Ceiling talk has really not worked at all.....on the contrary, it cursed those players. Who cares about ceilings when you are the beggar and not the king......
Brooks is about to be back which kind of makes him irrelevant depending on what they get for Jalen. Whether he pans out we'll see.
The Rockets were barely a good environment for young players.... Too much change and too much noise in the background for that. And now you cannot even trade them because they are not fully developed.
Jalen Green scored 28 points lets ignore that. Rockets Fans - 28 points on the Pistons, oh it is a bad team. How about take Jalen Green out and suffer with no bench points. Cam Whitmore Starts, absolutely no production after Aaron Holiday, Jeff Green if they are on, maybe.
Jalen Green and Cam Whitmore play the Scoring Role both have a Good Friendship and Supportive. Jalen made a Great Pass to a Open Cam Whitmore 3 Pointer. Cam smiled, Zero Ego between them. That is cool to see honestly. Jalen Green drove to the basket makes the layup and foul, Jalen falls down, Cam came running to help him up and smiled.
Jalen Green scored 28 pts taking 25 shots, lets ignore that. Jalen delusionist - lets just look at counting numbers, efficiency be damned.
