Listen, let's start with the fact that I really like Jalen. I think he's a very good kid. I have always been something of a weirdo so I even like his quirks that some of you are critical of him for. But to date, his play hasn't even come close to warranting any discussion about a max extension. And I don't know if I'm ready to give up on him if they can put him on a reasonable extension. Watching the break out that Coby White is having at age 23 gives me hope.
I’m happy that a Rockets player is shooting 37% from 3 over a 10 game stretch? yes. You know if you keep making that face it’ll get stuck that way.
9/25 from the field, 2/9 from the perimeter. 28 pts in 25 fga's. You know we had so many chances to get the lead but couldn't. That's how it goes when you don't have that sharpshooter on your roster. They keep you at arm's length the whole game because 3>2. We were lucky to win tonight against a historically bad team because we don't have a reliable shooting guard.
Jalen's game today pretty much sums him up nowadays. Sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe ****. What annoys me with his game the most is that he is streaky from quarter to quarter. 2nd quarter, Jalen was Kobe reincarnated. Beyond that, he may as well have sat the rest of the game.
He reminds me of KPJ's third year overall and his advanced numbers are nearly identical (a little better). I feel like I'm having deja vu lol.
He is such a dumbass - literally has no idea how to make good decisions.....he is reckless with the ball and just isn't very good at consistency. And he make DUMB DUMB DUMB decisions in leveraged situations. SIGH. DD
He just has no ****ing idea. Whenever things don't matter (beginning of games, end of season) he's fine. Good even. But game on the line he just can't do it. He's not smart enough to be an integral part of this offense.
There's no point of trading him since he has no value at this point but he shouldn't get more than 20 minutes once Tari and Dillon are back.
Still can barely dribble. Has springs and first step but just sort of throws the ball at the rim. Shot form is totally erratic. It sucks to watch, man.
Regardless of all the other stuff, KPJ was...at minimum, an above average 2 guard playing out of position....miles ahead of Jalen at the 2.
