Ah, I thought you were asking why people wanted to trade. That's because [stuff] could be better than Jalen Green.
But yes it depends on what [stuff] is... sort of. Remember Jalen is eligible for up to 25% of the cap with his extension. No way he reaches that.

Could be better? Of course. But also could be worse.

I think OP worded it a tad wrong.....

It was time to move on from the Idea that Green is this super human star player.

6'4 is pretty undersized for a Shooting guard. The reason they want to make him a Combo guard....to mediocre results.

(only a sometimes scorer with a few assists here and there)

Only if other 6'6 listed players are 6'7 or 6'8.

I wasn’t really talking about the actual stat I was talking about a major rockets podcast host trying to explain how an otherwise great average is bad. Also 39% was his number, I clarified once you all missed the point of my original comment.

So 37% last 10 games. Bad because it’s Jalen or good because it’s good?

Im not even talking about the stat geez, I’m asking why is that a complaint? 37% over 10
    Games is fantastic.

have fun shidding on 21 year olds for not being consistent NBA ball players.

oddly enough the random 10 games sample size choice, but when did he actually shoot 37% over a 10 game stretch

So a career 34.1% 3 point shooter who is shooting 34.6% on the season.... and you're excited about a 10 game sample where he made 37%?

Could the expectations get any lower?

its probably difficult to wrap your head around this because you love Jalen a lot but being into basketball and loving this team doesnt obligate me to kiss Jalen Greens ass. If thats what youre looking for you wont find it with me. I saw a lot in Jalen I wanted him drafted and if anyone who said we needed to draft Mobley calls me an idiot for that they are right.

Above all im a realist which on this board seems to get me in arguments because some of you are too emotionally invested in some players to understand the difference between hate and just telling the damn truth. Jalen is not what we drafted him to be so that means a shift is needed. He's been given every chance. He's not Luka, he's not Shai, he's not Ant. He is close to like a Suggs or Cole Anthony at this point. Does he fit with Sengun? If not who is better. He may end up being a Zach Lavine some day. He could be a 6th man.Since he isnt going to be a star soon the Rockets need to pivot to see if any of the other prospects will be stars sooner so it fits with Senguns timeline.

Now we could bench him and reduce his minutes, some say trade him like the Knicks traded Barrett. Even though I disagree with this I dont think these people are haters because with Sengun improving so much you should edit the roster to fit around him. I still believe in Jalen I just want him to work for it instead of given starter minutes without earning it. I think Cam has earned those minutes and a start more than Jalen and Dillon will come back soon so replacing Jalen with Cam would be my choice. Doing that should light a fire under Jalen and if that doesnt make him improve nothing will. Maybe by next years deadline I may look into trading him if offers are great. None of this is hate on Jalen its just whats good for the Rockets. Im a fan of the team first then players second sorry if you think thats hating but I disagree.

Jordan was actually 6'4'' and listed as 6'6'', the NBA loves to gift players, especially guards, with a spike in their actual height

They did the same for Mugsy/Iverson etc and many others

No way. Closer to Maxwell than Jordan size-wise.
